Astral Nexus
Problem: Horrific interface when dealing with containers on the PC version. When you have a container open: When taking things OUT of the container, Left Click or "E" will take out the highlighted item, or "R" will take ALL items. When putting things INTO the container, Left Click or "E" will USE or EQUIP highlighted item, while "R" puts the item into container. Edit: Here what it NEEDS to be. Left Click or "E" should take out or put it. Thats it. Like every other f***ing game ever made, same button to move items in and out of something. THIS IS SO %@ING BACKWARDS I WANNA RIP MY HAIR OUT!!!!!! ..... Ive wasted SOOOO many ingredients and potions or time reloading because of this insane backwards system that its just driving me insane. Item management is just a %*#$ing nightmare right now because of this. Please, im begging, someone please fix this. This is an amazing game, but this one issue above all others is just driving me MAD! Im sure anyone else who starts to sink time into this will notice it as well. This is a GAME BREAKING issue. Sorry for all the caps, im just SOOooooooooo sick of this. Edited November 14, 2011 by Astral Nexus
atrayu17
i dont know if this is possible due to it being the selection system. though im not experienced like some at modding i do know 1 or 2 things about bethesda games
Astral Nexus
This is one thing which may make me stop playing if it doesn't get fixed somehow. Honestly its a problem that keeps getting worse as I play because of all the crafting in the game. Having the select key randomly change from menu to menu is completely schizophrenic from standard gaming interface. Its totally counter intuitive and something that's a pain to try to deal with. If I have to buy an 360 controller for my PC to play a game for PC, I'm going to be writing some reallllly nasty letters to the Bethesda developers. atrayu17
i however use a controller for this since its more fun for me lol. if you have a ps3 controller just use it. a lot etter than a mouse and keyboard in my opinion. this isnt a problem for me. Astral Nexus
No, just.. no. Anyone who replies with, "Just go use a console controller" can goto PC hell. This discussion is about the PC version of the game, no console versions. If you wanna play with a controller, fine, but I bought a *$@!*ing PC game, not a PS3 game, not an XBOX360 game. Sparzy
I set the use key to space and it really annoys me that u cant open and close the chest menu with 1 key, i always have to tab to close it.
Misterboy
I second this. Why on earth did they make this so annoying? It took me a while to figure out why I was constantly mixing the keys up, and finally figured out (consciously) that the devs were changing things about based on context. I've almost got myself trained, but not quite. I still have to take a moment to double check the on-screen instructions sometimes. What's so annoying is that this is so dumb.
