Taoienale
I am working on a mod and I've run into an issue. The mod I am working on has me replacing several of the Toys in the game with all plush toys. The issue being that the Plush toys still have the material characterises on the original prop. For example, The toy replacing the Toy model Truck still acts as if it is made of metal when shot or dropped showing markings on it as if were made of metal when shot. Also making the sound of a bullet hitting metal as well. Where I am lost is how to change this so that it is more like the Teddy Bear Model when it is shot and so on. If anyone has some insight on this I would be very very grateful.
covadonga
Hi, I you can change the sounds in the ck I think, but the issue with the metal texture has to be with the bgsm you´re using, you should use the teddy bear bgsm for the toys that don´t have metal in them
Taoienale
If I use the teddy bear bgsm won't that also load the Teddy Bear texture to the model? I would like to keep the default texture on the model."or the texture that is now the default" and just change the interactive properties. I will look more into the bgsm file and thank you for the reply.
covadonga
You can download the material editor here on nexus, can find it under utiliy section, and with this program open the teddy bear bgsm and change the textures for the yours, but, don´t forget to save as instead save, because if you save it with your textures will replace the original teddy bear bgsm, and you would need that original bgsm in a future for other proyects Edited June 26, 2016 by covadonga
Taoienale
I had the Material editor already installed. I looked through some of the .bgsm files to see if there was anything that looked like it might affect whether something was wood, plastic, cloth or metal and didn't really seem to see anything. Also, it does not Seem there is a .bgsm for everything. Including the Teddy bear. Not sure if I was just overlooking it or not but it didn't seem to be there. So the next thing I went ahead and did was to make a copy of the Alien toy .bgsm file and replace the Toy truck .bgsm with it to see if it would effect the toy truck so that it would act as if it were made of Plastic. The only thing that happen was that it still acted as if it was made from metal and the Texture was broken. Taoienale
Ah, Found the Teddy bear .BGSM under "Materials\SetDressing\PlayerHouseClutterClean\ToyTeddyBear.BGSM". Set it to a string on one of the other models that was acting as if it was made of metal. The only change was that of the Texture. Other then that the object still acted as if it were made of metal. Not sure the .BGSM has anything to do with the Properties regarding what the object is made of. I really do appreciate the help or any other ideas you might have. I do see I can change the Object Bounds with FO4-edit but nothing regarding what the model is made of.
