Vampirism. Why?

I advanced to stage four of vampirism without realizing the the game breaking consequences.

Everyone attacks me on sight, making it nearly impossible to feed, and even when I get to someone sleeping it says "you have already been caught by this person".

Honestly, what the hell? Is this a bug or something?

Update: Now all of the sudden I don't even get the option to feed on people.

I do not believe in Vampires. You should seek the help of a mental health professional.

Am i the only one who finds it hilarious when we talk about our characters in the first person. Awesome how video games are interactive like that.

Maybe if you stopped trying to bite their necks they leave you alone...just a hint. ;)

so beeing a vampire in skyrim scks balls ?

It's exactly the same as in Oblivion. You get more powerful when you don't drink, but you also lose the ability to pass as human. It's a bit rubbish. There also doesn't seem to be anything like Morrowind's Vampire clans and quest lines.

Roll on the mods :)

I kind of wish there was more penalties with being a werewolf besides losing the rest bonus. Whoopee.

Seriously though, we totally expect a new werewolf to be in complete control of their powers after one night of passionate mauling, right? We obviously got out all of the uncontrollable full-moon transformations in one night of training.

If you turn into a werewolf it will cure vampirism but then again you can´t interact with anyone if they attack you.

I think the way they should do vampires is that if you don't drink often enough, you regress into a more bestial state. You get more physical, damaging abilities and look quite monstrous, thus making people hostile to you. If you do keep up with your daily dose of haemoglobin, you maintain your human appearance and get more magical skills, like hypnotism, sleep, mind control etc. The idea that vampires are weak and pathetic until they starve themselves is kind of strange but I understand it from a gameplay point of view. They just need to justify it better, and I think the idea that you're losing yourself to the beast within as you starve makes sense, and if you want to play a more elegant, Dracula or Lord Byron-esque vampire, then you can drink lots of blood and become a classy manipulator of people.
