LHNX
Is it possible to show a cutscene (or even just some (loading) screen) with background information on a quest, right before AND after the actual level + quest starts/finishes? If so, how do I do this exactly?
Ashven
You could crawl through the official DLC's code - I think all of the four main ones do this pretty well.
davidlallen
There is no convenient way to make cutscenes. It is possible, but it is a lot of work. OTOH, it is easy to give a note of any length to the player when a mod is first loaded, or to pop up a dialog box with a couple of sentences. This is what most mods do, and it is what some of the DLC do. It is a few lines of script.
viennacalling
If the cutscene is a video file, could try converting it to Bink format and using PlayBink. Never done it myself, though. http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/PlayBink http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Bink_Video_Tools

I wouldn't recommend having long videos for this though.
