Hi, I am looking for some feedback on the balance of my new weapon: A directional, Remote detonated shrapnel mine called the Claymore

The mine is found in the following mod: Craft pack, Found at http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=43918

 

Basicly, theres no weapon anything like this in the game, so im wondering if I got the balance right or not... Its a heavy, single use remote detonated weapon, designed mainly to cripple/injure a large number of advancing troops via shrapnel that fires out in a 60 degree arc infront of the mine... And yes, My version does exactly that. it is NOT just a simple explosion.

 

At under 15' it seems to basicly kill anything (Human..), More so if you put it up on a box, or other platform to raise it up near chest/head height.

At longer ranges, it will sometimes kill, and often cripple legs, when placed on the ground.

Lack of feedback makes me a very sad panda. I make a totaly unique, Never seen before weapon and nobody even has the time to try it out and tell me what they think? I know explosives are not the greatest in FONV, but thats why I am trying to improve them into something useful.

i shall try it out for you.

 

idk if its a problem on my end but i have the master pack installed 2 of them to be excact and they cause the game to ctd. also the files won't move up or down in the load order on the fomm. so idk whats going on but for now i can't get it to work

Crashing at start generaly means you have not installed the correct ESM's needed to run the mod.

Craft pack needs: Craft master.esm and Craft Pack.esm (both Included in download), Craft Pack.esm needs CASE.esm (found here) http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=43915

 

To test the claymore mod, you don't have to actualy install CASE, just have case.esm in the \data directory and enable it. case.esm by itself without its .esp's won't change your game.

 

Also the formid for the claymore is XX001677, Where XX is the load order ID of 'Craft Pack.esm'

 

You'll also need Craft Packs Graphics download, for the claymore texture/mesh
