Aterr
I travel a lot on my job and am wanting to get a new laptop that will allow me to not just play, but enjoy Fallout when I am away from home. I already have a Core i3 and i5 laptop pretty much maxxed out, but Fallout will not run on them due to Video constraints. I wish that I could say cost was no object, but I would like to keep it under 2 grand. Anyone have suggestions, please let me know. My Current Fallout 4 machine is far too cumbersome to take with me...
iXenite
If keeping it under 2 grand is all that is required, then this should be more than enough. Probably the best you can do with a laptop. It is on the high end though. It's also open box. ASUS ROG G751 Series:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232525R

I've looked at many but there are so many poor reviews on them, that I am a bit concerned. My Asus i5 has Intel Graphics and as you can guess, just is incapable of running Fallout
iXenite
That laptop (the one I linked) comes with a GTX 980M, which is one of the best GPUs you can buy for a laptop. I know the struggle with Intel HD though. It's all I have been able to use lately since my desktop crapped out. My laptop cries every time. I may have to give that one (ASUS ROG) a go... much more economical that the MSI GT72 Dominator and a LOT less negative reviews.
iXenite
If it doesn't work out you should have 30 days to return it (for a refund or replacement), so that should provide some comfort.

Aterr
If anyone is using the ASUS ROG G751 Series laptop, please let me know how your Fallout 4 Gaming experience is on it. (I'm hoping for the same performance I have on my desktop, which I run on Ultra Settings and have over 160 addons)
WhiskeyRiver2
OP - if you're hellbent on a gaming laptop, look into MSI. I'm currently running FO4 on High (with some performance tweaks, primarily turning off Godrays and tweaking shadows) on this rig: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152928R Can get it brand new for $1,200, has a two year warranty that, according to the CS guy I spoke to last week, can be summed up as "if it breaks, we'll fix it, if it fries we'll replace it" (bought mine thru best Buy, so got a two year Geek Squad "total coverage" plan on top of that that kicks in for things the factory warranty doesn't cover or once the factory warranty expires). This rig actually has a slightly better CPU than that ASUS ROG rig, and MSI has laptops with similar if not better specs (a little less RAM, but better CPU) at the same price point.
