neok182 Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 sorry if this is the wrong spot, not really any spoilers i just need help. i'm trying to start this quest. your suppose to go to the blue palace, talk to falk firebeard, then see varnius junius talk to the jarl, then talk to firebeard again to start the quest but on my game, i talk to firebeard, and varnius just stands there, he never talks to the jarl. help please? i have the guide and it says there are no requirements for the quest to start, and this quest is required to get the house in the city. Igoos Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) According to UESP: Bugs For unknown reasons, it is possible for the quest not to advance to stage 5 when you enter the court. This will be the case if you see Varnius Junius just standing around doing nothing. This may be related to the Bard's College quest, If you have begun the Bard's college quest Varnius Junius may not begin speaking until you have burned the effigy of King Olaf. I just had this problem i searched there. Didn't tested it to see if it is true.
