How can you tell if a mod is stolen?

I have an Xbox, and so have to get my mods from Bethesda.net. I've seen multiple threads where people are bringing up mod theft (usually from here) that's been posted there. Is there any way to tell if any particular model is stolen on there? I'd rather not help rip people off if I can help it.

Search for that MOD here. The Creator of the Mod's name is clearly listed.

 

If uncertain - if by a slim chance they use a different name and you see name "A" on Beth and name "B' here. Either post in the specific mod forum and/or send a Private Message to the author.

yup. Some of us DO have different names between here and bethsite.

Mind you, because of that, smart ones (buffs nails), will link back to here,

and have both names listed in their profiles/descriptions. :)

 

but yep, if in doubt, check here and PM the author if you can't confirm otherwise.
