nottaj
Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask this. I was wondering if it's possible to load meshes (e.g. upperbody/lowerbody/hand/foot .nifs) in NifSkope and have them match up with an animation applied to the skeleton. Can I paste them in a certain spot in the tree to make this happen? For clarification, what I want to do is pose some character meshes, export them as .objs, then re-import them and save them as .nifs, the idea being to make sort of a dummy of a posed NPC that can instead be used as a mesh for an item/container/whatever. But I don't even know if that would work.
jamochawoke
Not in NifSkope. You can load animations to a skeleton and sometimes to a model (depending on how it was originally exported and if it includes the root bone, Bip01, or not in the model) but NifSkope does not save poses like you are thinking. There may be a workaround but I'm not sure of one.
