J_R
I was thinking today about making new characters and play-overs, and how it would be cool to immortalize your past characters as NPC's as a small way to keep some persistence in the world and as a nod all those hours you've put into a character. This could be as simple as just having your character and his/her house (and non-quest items?) imported into the new game (might require that the house be a mod itself), but could be expanded on in very cool ways such as (perhaps even customizeable) dialogue option, radiant quests being given by your character depending on their 'class' and demeanor, and who knows what else. I just think it'd be really cool to start a new character, but be able to visit your old legendary character in his/her keep and splendor. What do ya'll think? Have there been mods like this for morrowind or oblivion?
hackoncrack
i like the idea, my character from Oblivion would live in an old keep on top of a cold mountain...and if i tried to visit him he would kill my ass...lol
elvinkun
I'm honestly a bit confused about the timeline and I'm too lazy and busy playing to sort it out, but isn't the Oblivion character dead for like 100-200 years by the time Skyrim starts? GileadMaerlyn
If he's a human, he's dead, but for an elf what are 200 years? (I assume elves are immortal, I never thought about it)
elvinkun
Well, that's a interesting though. I never really looking into it, and if I did, I forgot. But I have that feeling that elves in TES are nothing like Tolkien's - they get quite dead by age.
Midicow
I believe that it is alluded to in an easter egg that the adoring fan was really a dark brotherhood assasin in disguise and acting, and that they followed the grand champion into the forest and then slit their throat, leaving them for the bears to eat. (I assume elves are immortal, I never thought about it)Its closer to 400 or 500*I stand corrected, it is infact 200and elves are not immortal...Maybe longer life span. but Id asume even they would be dead. And on topic, I like the idea a lot but it might be hard to figure out what there personality was like. But at least maybe just them walking aimlessly through the wilderness for you to find? drxavier
I was thinking the same thing, like if your character could smith, maybe one a crude shop interface?
Gevouden
your character from the last game does show up. If you played shivering isles, hes Sheogorath. Or she, he can never remember , doesnt matter, CHEESE FOR EVERYONE!
