Bad controller support?

Recommended Posts

I finally got my second control stick to register and now when I push it all the way forward my character goes back to walking speed. It's really annoying. Basic controls are fine, but menu navigation is a nightmare. Is there any good way to make it control like the PS3 version?

Controller support for the PC version of Oblivion is actually pretty limited. Since the whole program wasn't really build up around using a controller unlike the console counterpart. For example, if I touch one of the control sticks I also get walking speed, indefinitely, in fact. You can use Xpadder, I think it was called, one of those controller 3rd party programs. But personally, I find...the controls less "tight", if that makes any sense, even with any programs. So I ended up using the keyboard and mouse.

Well crap. Dammit. <insert 10 year old substitute swear word>. I bought the first Playstation, the second one, and the third one and now I'm playing an exported save because my disc went missing (I blame the shelf faeries). I hate using a keyboard and mouse for gaming, even for FPS games, some I play with Joy2Key if they don't have controller support, like AssaultCube and Modern Warfare.
