dubstepsonyou
I think it would be cool if someone made a mod very similar to the Rebuilt Kvatch mod, but instead, Helgen is rebuilt. I don't see this being difficult at all because at the beginning of the game, it wasn't damaged at all, which means you could (just guessing) replace the destroyed buildings with the untouched buildings and add some villagers and guards. whereas in Oblivion, we never saw Kvatch in its former state, so people had to create former Kvatch from ground up on their own interpretations. Rennn
Should probably go in the requests section, but yes, this is a good idea.I can't make it though, as I'm going to be busy modding armor variations as soon as the Construction Set releases. :)
Lingwei
I just visited Helgen for the first time again and thought the exact same thing. Get a quest from the Jarl of Whiterun to rebuild it as the Thane, or from the Empire to reestablish a stronghold or from the Stormcloaks to curry favor in the region etc. Would very much either like to make or see this made. Cepherit
The second I revisited Helgen I knew that someone were going to say this. I agree completely though, and I'm about 90% sure that it will be done. ;)I can probably rebuild it, but quests; no can do.
Inferno986return
I started a similar thread (not knowing this one existed) here: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/463060-helgen-rebuilt/page__p__3817198__hl__helgen__fromsearch__1#entry3817198 Also I want to share this idea document with my thoughts of how this mod should go! hipolipolopigus
I remember a mod from New Vegas that let you start up a fort, hire people to defend it and have random or invoked raids against it by bandits. Something like that would be amazing to see!
greivan2
This would be cool. Although we never really saw the interiors of many players, I suppose they would be easy to make. I'd be up for some cell making (perhaps).
RighthandofSithis
I just visited Helgen for the first time again and thought the exact same thing. Get a quest from the Jarl of Whiterun to rebuild it as the Thane, or from the Empire to reestablish a stronghold or from the Stormcloaks to curry favor in the region etc. Would very much either like to make or see this made. I was thinking the same, however I just looked at my Skyrim political map (From Bethesda, so it's reliable) and it turns out that Helgen is well inside Falkreath Hold. Personally, I think the idea of becoming the Jarl of Helgen would therefore not work lore wise (some roleplayers, such as myself, like to maintain the established Elder Scrolls lore). However, I like the idea of the Player becoming the newly appointed leader of Helgen, as either a Baron (or a nordic equivalent) or a governor appointed by the empire/Ulfric following the completion of the civil war. Astymma
Seems to me that given the events of the Prelude and that Helgen sits on the first road intersection you meet when travelling from Cyrodiil into Skyrim on the White Pass (Pale Pass), it would have been an Imperial walled settlement to begin with. That still wouldn't preclude quests to obtain it as your own, as a means for the Stormcloaks to curry influence in Falkreath, or as a mission to reclaim it for the Imperials.
