paraalpha
I installed some texture mods as well as FXAA injector, as well as changed iWaterMultisamping=4, bTreesReceiveShadows=1, bDrawLandShadows=1 and i get these very odd shadow lines that move like a conveyor belt across objects. It's driving me nuts! I've tried setting the skyrim ini settings back to what they were and uninstalled FXAA injector yet they are still there!! My next step is a full reinstall since i didn't back up the SkyrimPrefs.ini like a noob. Could this possibly be from 1 of the texture mods? Anyone have this problem or have any ideas? thanks
razorpony
Try moving your .ini files to a different location and run the game. Oblivion and Fallout will generate new files if they are missing and I'm sure Skyrim will do the same. RP

paraalpha
It's epic lamesauce. I may just be paying more attention to detail from installing mods but it's crazy to think i'd go 16 lvls without noticing it. Nonetheless i did a full reinstall, added patch 1.1 and ENBSeries patches then played it with the same thing. Added FXAA injector and some other mods and no change in the trashy shadows. I guess the next step would be to reinstall or rollback to an older video driver. Could likely be my nvidia drivers since they are a beta version. MShoap13
I've had lined shadows on rocks etc. (exactly what you're describing) since I started playing... I've yet to find a fix for it though rolling back probably won't help you.
Moogiefluff
I've had this problem since before I used any mods or texture replacers whatsoever. So if it helps, it's not a problem being caused by your mods; it's a problem in the game itself. I can only suggest that you update your graphics drivers if you haven't already, and wait for Bethesda to (hopefully) fix the issue themselves. miskatcitnamor
I have the same problem, though I notice it the most in interiors. I just finished upgrading Breezehome and it's TERRIBLE in there. The shadows on the cupboards, shelves, and other furniture are simply moving lines. The ones on the cupboards are freaking circular. I hadn't noticed this until recently and have tried rolling back nVidia drivers, using the beta ones, uninstalling mods, changing the ini, nothing works. I give up, but Bethesda needs to patch this. Actually, Beth has quite a bit of work to do, I expect quite a few bug fixes, this included, as well as a fix for blocky horrible shadows, and while I doubt Bethesda gives a hoot enough about us to do it, but I would like to see a DX11 compatability update, as well with, perhaps, some of the perks that come with it. Just for the sake of archiving the hardware experiencing this problem I'm on a i7 950 (4.2ghz) with 2 GTX 460 1GB in SLI. 6GB RAM at 1850mhz DDR. Come on Bethesda, the PC crowd needs some love. MShoap13
You can try out ENBSeries v092. Between that and dropping the distance shadows draw drastically (to increase the quality of shadows and somewhat get rid of the horrific blocky crap) I don't notice the lines anymore. :whistling: Edited November 26, 2011 by MShoap13
ERASERhead1
I put a thread up called "Graphics issue I Haven't Seen Addressed Yet" and it was explained to me that Bethesda kinda f'd up with their mesh normal maps... I didn't get a fix on here; however, if you're like me and downloaded the injector, AA and Sharpening, 2K textures, etc., this may help you guys out...turn down the sharpness on your tv/monitor settings...as crazy and simple as this sounds, I was messing with my LCD display settings and found my sharpness on my tv was almost turned all the way up(was on 90 out of 100)... I dialed it down to 60 and it almost completely remedied the problem... I would see them the most on the ground/grass land textures during night time... these conditions are the only time I see them vaguely (barely perceptible) now... hope this helps... my buddy had this same problem too and this helped him as well... his (Sony LCD) sharpness was set to 30 out of 30 and he set it down to 6.
