Anyone Remember or heard of Timespliters?

I really like time splitters 2, but it is a bit new for classic status  . It was one of those games you picked up cheap for a rainy day and were amazed by the quality of it. I really enjoyed the fun coop campaign and the amount of multilayer characters were astonishing. There was also a level editor on the PS2!. I always made a zombie lock down with turrets and pulsing red lights in corridors. I agree with you, Time Splitters is great

I have to say, Timesplitters 2 is better than any of the Call of Dutys, at least in its time. It was easy to play, it was fair, and it was challenging.

I had spent many hours on this game because it had so much to offer: A simple, fun story mode with either single or coop, challenge modes, a great, fast paced multiplayer, and arcade league.

I have to start playing this again, it was my favorite game. (I didn't play the first game too much and I can't find a copy of Future Perfect)

One of the greatest games of the PS2/Xbox era.

Ah Timesplitters, I will miss thee. Maybe a bit new for "Classic" status, but it is definitely a "Cult" classic. The game had a strong fanbase in my neighborhood, growing up, as well in several nearby. When the second installment went out on XBox as well as PS2, we all couldn't help but using that seemingly unlimited hard-drive, filling all of them to the brim with custom maps. xD Then there was the third, where we'd have whole groups of 12-24 people all hooked up through XBox live (or, what it was at the time) just killiing eachother. If I had to make one special note about the game, it was that it was very vertically oriented, without the use of a jump button. That 007 shooter style never gets old for me. :)

RIP Timesplitters series. <3 I will miss you.

Played all of them to death, they just so ridiculous and fun. I loved how much there was to do in them, spending ages trying to beat my scores in mini-games and challenges, and also got addicted by the map-maker feature...probably the first step that got me into modding actually!

I could never wrap my head around why they never got around to making a 4th installment, would love to see a nexus for timesplitters maps and possible mods :D

I wanted to get a Timesplitters game when the PS2 was still my main console, but it never worked out. Eventually I switched to a PS3, and 5 years later I switched again to my PC.

Now that my PC is literally the only system I game on, that's the past...

I'll get a PS2 at some point in the future. TS2 is one of the reasons why. I used to play it round friends' places and I love the soundtrack/

Timesplitters was an amazing series of shooters, hopefully there will be a reboot soon with all the other reboots being thrown around lately. For those of you who haven't already heard, a fourth one is on the way. Sort of. There won't be any campaign, it'll only be multiplayer modes, but you will be able to play solo with bots if you don't want to go online.
