  1. 1. How many of you have done it?

    • I have increased it...no big deal and is not considered cheating
    • I haven't done it...it ruins the fun and the challenge

Yeah, I toss the extra stuff over to Lydia. I sell what ever I don't need, but found those damn dragon bones to be real heavy and not even sure if I should keep them. oh well...

The dragon bones are for making the best heavy armor in the game, scales are for light armor. hth!

Nope, never increased my total weight, before i restarted my toon i was lvl 18 1/2 with around 340 i can carry, didn't even have an issue and i don't even fast travel at all ( the carriages i use from time to time as those are pretty much silt striders from morrowind lol )

Travel light is my motto. I only take ingredients and things that are magical. It takes 2-3 real time hours for me to get to my weight limit, wich is around 350 with buffs from my items and around 290-300 completly debuffed.

I changed my limit... even back when I was a regular paper and dice AD&D Gamer and DM, I used to carry several large bags of holding in my backpack so I could lug around whatever I needed... so in all these games I just basically go unlmited weight... I still try to sell off or drop off in a chest or whatever in one of my homes the things I don't need but in the meantime, it seems a waste to just leave dead dreugh and bandits and such everywhere loaded with weapons and armor that I could be selling or upgrading and enchanting later... so yeah I just go nuts with the lugging stuff home. lol

I increased it. But it is cheating, and I know it. Your poll is a bit biased.

Generally, you just have to get rid of junk until you can afford a house or get one via the questline from a faction (Dark Brotherhood, Companions, etc.). At which point, you'll have a chest you can throw all your stuff in.

I just find it inconvenient to have to constantly trek to my home to store stuff away, and I'm playing this game for fun. Not to be super realistic with how much I can carry lol.

I don't think it's cheating, you don't gain anything from it, you just save a lot messing about.

That's actualy the cheating part. In a game such as Skyrim having a lot to mess about is normal.

Hmm.. I guess that Bag of Holding mod I used for Oblivion was a cheat to, damn I'm a cheater myself.

Anyway, I want that mod back!

Never changed my encumberance, I prefer the game to provide you with large challanges and make you question whats worth its weight in gold. Thats just me personally I wouldn't judge anyone for it.

I don't see it as any different to fast travelling, both just save time. Anyway the less time I spend with the interface from hell the better.

It IS cheating, and you DO gain something from it,

you gain the ability to not have to go back to a village and sell your new loot off, do not have to go home to store new loot, do not have to do anything related to crafting wise etc...or atleast puts it off untill you reach the max you cheated it to...

if you have such an issue with carrying things, stop picking up everything and limit to what will ACTUALLY help you or be worth something good...like set a limit to price wise like " i will not pick up any items to sell unless it is atleast worth #######"

another good thing is make companions carry your loot for you

stop being such a pack rat =P
