Sanguined
The first thing I noticed about any of the armors in the game was that they're all pretty much sleeveless. Most armor types have the legs covered, but I'm missing some kind of fur cloak for warmth with the chest pieces. I suck at modding myself, but I was wondering if anyone else might incorporate this into an armor mod or something, as it still kind of bothers me to see my characters walk through blizzards with bare arms like it's summer... JimboUK
I miss the old Morrowind set up, clothes and robes under your armour.
Sanguined
I miss the old Morrowind set up, clothes and robes under your armour. Yea that too. I'd love to still be able to wear clothes under my armor. And then have things like a full out snow-explorer set (thick fur and all that) and casual town/city clothes... Rennn
It's odd, but the human body also has a built-in biological response to cold. After recieving a severe chill, the tissues of your body literally become less affected by cold, and you feel it less. This effect remains for extended periods of time, even long after you warm up; multiple days, in fact. That's why southerners experience 40 degree (farenheit) temperatures and start crying, while people from my state walk outside without flinching (wearing the same kind of stuff) around zero degrees (farenheit). It's not so unrealistic.
Sanguined
Imo there's a difference between walking outside at very low temperatures in 'chilly' clothing because you're used to it, and walking outside in the mountains (perma snow there) in a blizzard. At least my warrior has dwarven armor now which has sleeves as well.
kitsuneshoujo
Yeah I like that bandit armour a lot, but its totally unrealistic up in the mountains.. even for short periods of time in those extremes it would cause frostbite and/or hypothermia. Id like to see some armour variations that still look nice, but actually cover up the body more... OR have cold-weather outfits to wear. >.>
Scorpio9
It's kinda ridiculous that my character is climbing on a top of the mountain, wind and snow blowing around and he's only wearing medieval fur boxers, he's naked!!! and apparently resistant to cold. lolOh yeah, he's nord but still... static07
Very true, Nords might have a great resistance to cold but frostbite will happen to bare skin nontheless. I vote for a mod where u can wear several layers: smallclothes/clothes, robes, armor/cloaks, hoods... not much unlike Tailor Made for FO3/FNV. Offcourse armor/clothing pieces would need to be (re)modelled to prevent clipping as much as possible. macole
A little Ring of Comfort is all I neeed. Keeps me in a comfy zone of 70 degrees no matter what the actual temp. Also keeps the biting bugs away. Don't leaave home without it.
D34DM4N
I like the morrowind setup 10x more than oblivion, fallout, and skyrim combined (i wish they would have kept it rather than the boring chest, boots, neck, ring, golves, hat) but in regards of ITS UNREAL! THAT ARMOR! But doesnt everyone here have like cases upon cases of resist frost potions? I use them constantly so maybe we can all pretend for 4 seconds that "there are unforeseen side-effects" that make it so your unscathed by the cold temperatures.
