Moikko
Anyone else wants to know how many copies were sold to consoles and how many were sold to PC (the real gamers if u ask me)?Just so we can find out how many souls Betsheda is 'ignoring' by giving us poor UI and bunch of other stuff that would be a lot better if they would invested even a little bit on PC-version! discuss... EDIT: F***ing typo on topic :/ THIS is why they put it out for consoles. Seems to continually be a source of many more sales than PC. http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/11/17/skyrim-sales-figures-obliterate-oblivion-proves-xbox-360-is-king/
JimboUK
The profit margin on PC is higher, no Sony/Microsoft tax and less disks to be produced because of the large number of people using services like Steam. It's still well below console sales but those companies who behave as if they're doing us a favour by releasing on the PC are being a little dishonest, there is plenty of money to be made. We wouldn't have the myriad of download services if it wasn't profitable. Crappy UIs and the other symptoms of half arsed ports are purely down to cost cutting. borge12
Yeah, but that still doesn't give us a good idea of how many copies were sold as it doesn't include digital sales. I bought my game through digital retailer, and I'm assuming that a lot of other people did as well. PC could be king, really.
Moikko
PC IS the king, it just those console players that doesn't realise it yet! Would like to know that are all the console players happy how Skyrim is!? And this doesn't mean that i don't like the game! I LOVE IT, there is just so much potential in this one! Just plain stupid to release a game and wait for us players to ake it work..Bethseda has made plenty of money so they could spend little bit more to treat us, the players who have been loyal to PC community just because we know that this is the one and only way to play games effectively
Robynah
According to VGCharts within two days of its release over 3.4 million copies of the game were sold and this doesn’t even take into account digital sales Would be pretty easy to take a straw poll here to see how many bought from retail vs steam. At a guess could probably easily the PC figure. Edited November 17, 2011 by Robynah
Snowsong
I bought Skyrim as a disc for the PC. I'm not having any problems with my game. You might want to look at the options settings, because the PC version for some reason is defaulted to XBox 360. If you look in the options settings, you uncheck the box that says XBox 360, and the game will play very smoothly from then on.
