eah like I said normally get really good frame rate, its just the recording software taking my frames down, problem is with recording software u either really need to drop the quality down on the game settings or run it normally and suffer frame loss.

Unless of course you have a supercomputer which not everyone can afford, although I wish I could lol.

Yeah maybe it is, it could be something to do with drivers that im running possibly I will have to take a look into it.

Try fraps without using any compression. Let it record in raw format then compress it after. That really helps the pc when doing a lot of recording, takes up loads of room on the HD though.

And its not really max settings if its only 720p resolution. 1080p (1920x1080 screen resolution) is considered full HD.

This vid measured in at over a 1gb as it is let alone if I did it in 1080 lol, I played it in 1920x1080 but just downscaled it to 720 for the purposes of youtube.

I will however try fraps though just to see if it offers any improvement like you said.

Is this with Shadow detail set to ultra? I got a very good PC, and I can't run the game and get more than 30 FPS with shadow detail on Ultra. And if frequently dips in the teens. This is full HD by the way, 1920x1080.

On the other hand if I set shadow detail down to high, I get 50-60 FPS. This is with everything else maxed out, all reflections on, and FXAA enabled. Why such a huge drop between High and Ultra shadow detail? The shadows are really crappy in Skyrim because they frequently flicker and it looks like crap.

Can you post which mods you used to improve performance?

Yes shadow detail is on ultra and with the self shadowing on for trees and objects via the ini tweaks.

Have you turned vsync off via the .ini?

I used the fxaa injector with my own custom settings, enhanced blood textures, enhanced night skyrim and no more blocky faces, I did use the performance .dll that people have mentioned but it actually gave me a fps drop, so instead I tweaked the .ini file, allowed skyrim to access 4gb of ram and also allocated more memory to the game through the ini.

If you like I could pm you my ini settings and u could try them out yourself? But I do recommend using the fxaa injector as opposed to in game fxaa and also so u have aa on if your using fxaa?

What I mean by that is, do u have aa on seperate and fxaa on also?
