try console commands u can find em with google, also check if there's any mods which could affect that

hmm I really think it doesn't really affect your game, so if you are looking for more performance - disabling the music isn't the answer

how about trying install any lydia changing mod and then uninstalling it - checking that all files from textures and meshes are deleted - and of course check that there is no .esp which relates to lydia - it should default to lydia's normal

Well since no one has answered you - let's take this to another level then :P I'd suggest you think carefully when choosing skills, if you're archer definately go breast-eye, dual wielder, double strike - or if you prefer 2handed axes go cleavage shot, better update that two times, after that u have access to mages "Implant" skill.

Skyrim fades your character if you are close to a wall, or rolling from 3rd person to 1st person, so you see enemies, so that your toon doesn't block your whole view

I must be different then cause my game works with newest patch with 100+ mods perfectly. Or maybe it's because I know what I'm doing? no? I mean no offense to you, but patches are ok - point is which mods fit with the newest update - really no offense :)

(example I had McAfee Firewall installed with server rights, went Net with browser, contacted tech support and they just put a file to MY Win desktop - and just said double click that). So Steam wants server rights, do you really think it really affects which settings you put there, especially as earlier in this thread they overwrite your files? Ok mate, thx for clarifying that - I've been playing quite much also, and yea it's probably true that younger persons feel like they were cheated, when they die lol - I probably was the same kind. Anyway those cheating things .. well I just saw what the game can do, I went to a cave thought they were hostile and used eagle eye to shoot the guy in the head, sure shot, 100% certainty I hit - but what happened? he just greeted me and said we own this cave, turned out he is no enemy to me - so you see to what game is capable of. Of course that was pre-made script that player can't kill him - probably some quest essential man. Anyway back to the point - there are many cases in my game where I'm almost killing someone, like he has so less health that I can one hit him, but what happens? He nails me - even if he hit me earlier many times and now my health is like half. It's cheating - game just feks with you - I bet Bethesda meant that, players get some challenge, but I still think that's not how to do it. I have one example of this in my video, I played the same situation many times before, then I decided; hey I should record this! So you see only the last moments of it. Anyway what happened, in one case I was hitting the mage full power, her health hardly went down. As I continued playing the same save again and again, things got wild they almost one hitted me and so on. Only easy enemy was that ugly one at the starting, which you can see hit me out of range (blame faulty weapon reaches and "hitboxes" by Bethseda). Yes I can hit as far as enemy, but still - when gaming I tend to think: "ok I have 0.5 meter sword" and of course adjust my movement to that - but forget that enemy hits like 2m far with same kind of sword, lame. I'd expect more from Bethesda... If only I could alter weapon reaches, that would help some, but too bad wouldn't eliminate AI cheating in general. - But yes it does that. kk, I haven't had any trouble with it.. anyway people have reported that it can auto update even if it's disabled - I have no confirmation of that cause I always have auto on. But bear in mind that can happen perhaps... best choice, if you have little patience and HD space is to backup whole My Documents Skyrim folder - and whole Skyrim game folder - then they can't touch you lol

When do you realize, tha there is nothing game braking flaws in patches? All people just complain - when they have fekked up their Skyrim with mods - I mean mine has ALWAYS worked well, every patch no problem, just some little bugs - which btw have reduced very much with every update - if you can't handle your computer - don't install mods. dot. oh yeah it is incredible ...

OP: just restart Windows There is no beta ..... it's official patch 1.5.26 and so far it's working very well - I bet they fixed one thing at least - I saw when running or walking "H2_marker02" or something similar and activate command lol. Some dude in Bethesda must have had a bad day lol. How do you know it's the patches fault? - I can answer that because there are so many people here in forum that says it's patches fault. Too bad no one realises the truth - or want to - or they maybe are so frustrated with Bethesda who knows.

Aaw - uncheck all mods and try em one by one - and all texture mods can't be reason to not able to start, also if u have script dragon, check if it's ok, download latest SKSE and hmmm what else can I think.. hmm verify game cache from Steam - It'll work hmm final thought you can also delete all .esps from Skyrim/data and delete also Meshes & Textures folder - but that's the hard way - make sure you have all mods backup'ed Started Skyrim and it said SKSE does not work, downloaded new one and then it said Elys uncapper isn't working, but still loaded game - also my saves are intact (truth is Skyrim updates never touch, user documents folder, unless there are some serious mistake in Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini - even when there is - updater shouldn't be able to touch it ever, so people who complain about those things... I suggest all bare my words..)

Yeah, now waiting for SKSE patch - I hope they update quickly. I guess it's not beta anymore since I got it, just ~15 mins ago. SKSE is available for 1.5.26 official 1.5.26 is uploaded to all who auto update on Elys uncapper is only for 1.524 for now
