b0bulat0r
Hi (Please help me I am desperate) Last night I thought I'd screwed up my Fallout4 with some mods because I had no structures menu in settlement modeit went Special - Furniture - Decoration with no structures menu, I decided since I had over 230 mods and a lot of crap I'd uninstall FO4 delete the folder and start again, I spent 5 hours this evening re-installing fallout 4 and then re-installing all of the mods i wanted. I tried fallout 4 again (now with only 120 mods) and the settlement menus are still screwed. ok one of the mods I've still got is doing it I thought, so I ran FO4 with just the base game (not even the dlc) enabled, just Fallout4.esm The menu's are STILL screwed. I also have a "cages" menu and a "raiders" menu, which I didn't have before. Can someone help me please, I know this isnt a mod doing it now because running just the base fallout4 is doing it. (This is a completely new re-install tonight) How do I fix this? I can't build anything. thanks so much in advance. Edit I've just done the same again deleted my fallout 4 folder completely and re-installed, I've just tried to run FO4 again BEFORE installing any mods, so there is nothing installed at all,It is doing the SAME thing. Please can someone help me?? Don't know what to do at this point. Edited July 8, 2016 by b0bulat0r

didiguns
No Idea. I've been trying to figure out where my furniture tab went. Settlements without beds - no happys. Almost has to be a radical shift in how they do menus at Bethesda that's gone at odds with a running script. If you're reinstalling from scratch, might try making sure your old .ini file is deleted, move all saves to a backup folder so you dont reload your problem, and reboot your system to clear anything cache before reinstalling. Then verify game cache with steam before play, and run the game without mods first, to make sure it is working as intended before reloading updated mods a few at the time & rechecking. snapper69
I had this problem, there's a mod that repairs it, but, off the top of my head, I can't remember it. I'll have a look when I get home. Found it, "Lost structure category fix". Go to the Snap'n Build page, click the files tab and the second file down is Lost Structure Category Fix. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7393/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D7393&pUp=

damanding
Ive downladed the file manually, Is there a certain place i need to put the file? If you're trying to fix a broken menu, ignore all of the above in this thread. What you want to do is download the universal menu fixer from the files tab of this tutorial page (its a tutorial for mod authors, you can safely ignore it). http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12192 You can install the mod using your mod manager, so it's not necessary to download and install manually unless you really want to. If you want to install manually it goes in your Fallout 4 Data folder. Run the game with that file installed for a minute or two. Save and exit to desktop. Uninstall that file. That should fix your menu. In the future you can avoid breaking your menu again by following the uninstall directions on any mods that use script injection to add their stuff to the workshop menu. Lots of mods are doing this these days so before you uninstall *any* mod that adds content to the settlement workshop menu, double check the mod's description page to see if you need to use an uninstall chem for that mod.
