I've always wondered how many people try to burn through the main storyline as quickly as possible and how many deviate from the path set by the game. How many of you start on the easiest setting and build up as you go along? How many people enjoy Skyrim's more socially focused aspects more than the combat?

So far, I'm playing as a Wood Elf ranger, I prefer to be alone, now that Lydia is dead (after killing a dragon, she was sent into orbit by a giant). I have only completed the main storyline up to the first dragon and I have since split off to go adventure. Killing elk and working on my archery skills, both my own ability to hit my target and the skill itself. I'm playing on the 3rd difficulty setting, level 16, with a lot of focus into stealth and archery. Smithing as well; although I feel dabbling into alchemy would be a good idea. Just finished some funky quest involving getting very drunk and very lost...lots of comedic value being tossed into the game thanks to the devs.

My first is an Orc who dual-wields an axe and mace, basic warrior archetype. He does enchant a little, though, but not much beyond that.

My second is a Khajiit who dual-wields destruction spells, follows a hybrid of mage and thief archetypes, though focusing a little bit more on the mage side.

I really want to try enchanting. I'm thinking of making a dunmer spellblade/conjurer.

I am currently playing an Orc Warrior with Heavy Armor, One Handed (Axes), Block, and Smithing. I followed the main quest until the first dragon slaying, and then too branched out to do side quests. Generally, I would follow the main quest until it took me to a new city/location, and then complete many side quests in that area, explore a little, and then continue the main quest until, again, it brought me to a new location, thus repeating the process. I am 34 now, and done with the main quest, in full Dragon Armor, and am now working on doing all of the side quests in each city so I can be a Thane of every place possible. Then, I'll join the legion and go through that quest line, and then search out and complete every Daedra Shrine quest, hopefully ending near level 50 in full Daedra armor.

I killed 2 dragons so far, level 19 orc, pure berserker with a pinch of alchemy, Did like 15 side quests and pretty not far in the main one. Liked the companion quests so far but the silver hand hate is now boring lol. I rape dungeons and not a huge fan of social books etc.

Enchanting's a little frustrating for me so far, you're restricted so you can't place resist effects on your armor. -__- So far I can only place them on boots, MAYBE gauntlets but I'm not sure.

Works really well for weapons, though, I need to find out how to enchant staves.

You don't get regular staffs. Even with the multiple enchant skill, I doubt it would be worth the effort.

I take the slow route, restarted a couple times, been to two cities in a week, explored middle part of the map. Trying to do side quests and take the main storyline slow. My first start I headed south on the map to Falkreath and found it a bit easier than going east or north

I can't wait to start getting more glass armor. Is 50 the level cap? I'm running out of perks. ) :
