shuazoid
So im level 49 with Daedra armor. Saw this Frost Dragon outside of Whiterun, ran up to kill it, saw it was attacking a giant and I bashed the giant to death in 3 wacks. Turned to the dragon, it flew off. Saw it attack a bear, i went to attack the dragon with bows. Turns out it was a Sabertooth Cat and it started to attack me, so i killed it too. Then it went to attack a troll, I shot more arrows at the dragon, killed the troll too. Then it went to attack a village... I ran all the way to the village , it flew for 5 mins then came back. Christ, what must I do to get its attention? Btw I was shooting Daedra arrows at it with a Legendary Ebony bow, thats the medieval equivalent of a .50 cal barret sniper rifle. RaynorX
Obviously, you forgot to insult it's mother. Did you try Shouting (Thu'um) at it too? Edited November 18, 2011 by RaynorX

shuazoid
Yeah I have Unrelentless Force level 3, so thats a very powerful thum that hit it. No response. So I had to kill a Giant, a Sabertooth Cat and a Forest Troll just to end up in Riverwood to kill it. Bastards... not the first time either. Wolves425
what you need is the Dragonrend shout. Its forcing the dragon to land. You learn it as a part of the main quest. Quest 13/19 in the main quest line, the quest is named Alduin's Bane.Even if you dont plan to finish the main quest just yet, its worth to get to this point and get the shout. it makes fighting dragons with melee much easier.
