AsmodesReynolds
Is there a way to change the amount of autosave’s the game natively keeps? I want to expand it from three to like 10…..

Fonger
still remember that Bethesda has a historical problem with autosaves - they have been -- in all previous games --- GUARANTEED to cause corrupted saves
AsmodesReynolds
Thx I am aware of the problem…. I just like immersion and am playing on survival mode…. So I’m currently using Automatic Save by Xylozi I would prefer to use something like Cipscis' Automatic Save Manager but I don’t think one exists for fallout 4 as of yet..Could anyone suggest something safer? RaffTheSweetling
still remember that Bethesda has a historical problem with autosaves - they have been -- in all previous games --- GUARANTEED to cause corrupted savesI keep my custom .ini set to allow 20 autosaves max. Never had a corrupted save on either character in over 1000 hours. While I agree that in previous games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim autosaves and save-on-travel were prone to corrupting, in a FO4 survival mode game that never automatically overwrites/creates save files there is, in my opinion, no evidence to think this issue is still a problem. EDIT - I also make daily backups of my entire save folder because in Survival mode the quests are absolutely riddled with game-breaking bugs. NorthWolf
still remember that Bethesda has a historical problem with autosaves - they have been -- in all previous games --- GUARANTEED to cause corrupted saves As noted above and to provide more anecdotal evidence, I've been using one of the many "survival quicksave" mods that use autosave slots. There's no evidence that this behavior has carried over but it is a good warning to give.
