Sunkid
Hello! Since I haven't seen too many requests about it, and since there is, joy, such a forum category for this, I decided to ask for some help regarding the possibility of creating the mods described in the topic title. I love RPG's played in first person and I love first person games, as I see them the most engaging way to draw oneself into the story and into a 3d world. That's why, the way it it done - 1st person implementation - can be a high point in gameplay and fun. As an example, The Chronicles of Riddick EfBB and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic games did a terrific job at implementing all these 3 features. How cool can it be to see your own shadow cast on the ground and "feel"somehow that you ARE inside that world and your character isn't just a pair of triggers. How cool is it to see your own new shiny boots or new chestplate while looking down instead of just seeing... well... air. How cool is to replicate the body movement (run, walk) with an accordingly adjusted camera? Please, don't get me wrong, I am just expressing my own opinions and I am not trying to convince anyone about anything. ;) I know these are some subjective matters and that some people don't like them, but, hey... I am making a request in the name of those that actually DO want a more imersive experience with this fine game. _____ Regarding the head-bobbing... I made an attempt to use the sprint animations in run and walk mode but it doesn't make that much of a difference and the animation is not quite synced with the steps. Some info about how I done it is in this thread: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1255836-is-there-a-way-to-disable-head-bob/ post no.12 Also there was an extraordinary head-bob mod, very well done, for Oblivion, but can't find it atm :(. Deadly Reflex and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18617 are some good examples also. _____ Sadly I am not the most expert mod creator, that's why I made a request for help. Even a hint or some useful info can be appreciated and I can try, if possible and if it's not too difficult, to create these mods myself. If not all, at least one or two of them. And I'd say the head-bob should be easiest. Just my 2c, ofc. Thx! Hope for some replies. :)
xPossessedx
sounds like a pretty good improvement to the game. I'd use that if it was available
ZombieInfected
I would love if the third person playermodel (and animations) was used in first person, instead of a pair of floating arms. (A thing that always have bugged me in Bethesda's games) - Shadows would be a nice bonus. :) Edited November 18, 2011 by ZombieInfected
Sunkid
I would love if the third person playermodel (and animations) was used in first person, instead of a pair of floating arms. Yes, it's pretty much this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18617 The mod exists for Oblivion. Something tells me it's not impossible to implement this in Skyrim. :) And thus I think this would be the easiest way (maybe?) to use in 1st person all the character animations as they are portrayed (very well I may even add) in 3rd person.
