kaelsidhe
I killed my first dragon and shouted when the guard asked me to try it. That was fine but then I fast traveled back to Whiterun and upon entering the city the grey beards shouted for me and the courier approached and talked at the same time and I missed what was said. Also the courier was apparently bugged because the letter he handed me was completely blank. No text at all and no quest in my quest log. So I reloaded and killed the dragon again. This time I did not shout right away. I returned to Whiterun via fast travel and upon entering I was met with the grey beards shout. I went all the way to Dragonsreach and completed the conversation with the Jarl. THEN I shouted in his throne room and blew all the silver off one of the tables. There was some exclamations around me so I know the game registered it. Then just to be sure, I exited and went back to the market area and shouted once, then twice more and was approached by a guard who asked me to please stop doing that because I was scaring people. So now I'm waiting for my courier. I've fast traveled several times since then. It's been maybe 2 days. (I could be wrong about that though because I used the console to make my timescale = to real time) It's been at least a day though and still no courier. Should I be concerned? Is it random? Did I not shout what the game considers a "public" place? Thanks in advance,
Dambuster
I didn't get my first courier message until after meeting Puurthanaax at the Throat of the World and was given one for it being heard there in only the company of one "person" so hardly public. The couriers are fairly random and fairly buggy. I didn't get one for ages then fast travelled to Riverwood to find him stuck on a fence and I had to push him out of the way so that he could then run around and back to me to give me the letter.
