  1. CPU not very good as in won't be able to cope or just not high end? Also cheers for the answers so far.
  2. Yeh Ok i'm a total noob but noticed the no video card yet this guy was banging on about it's graphics. If I need a graphics card recommendation of a reasonably priced one?
  3. I don't know much about rigs but the guy trying to sell me this one claims it has very high spec graphics.. - Crucial 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz - Gigabyte GA-A55M-S2V AMD A75 - AMD Llano A4 3400 2.7GHz - Corsair 240GB Force SSD 2.5" - SATA-III 6Gb/s Read = 550Mb/s
  4. 1. SkyUI 2. Jaysus Swords 3. Varied Guards and Stormcloaks 4. Imperial Legion overhaul V25 (winterized). 5. All my weapon and armour texture size increases and improvements e.g: HAR, HSR and MWRP
  5. He says play again properly.. I assumed he had played before but I don't know.
  6. Well that's pretty strange. To be quite honest it's not a very big problem. There are thousands of saves on this site located at the end of the tutorial dungeon which you can use for new characters. Simply use console command showracemenu and customize all you want.
  7. Ah but largely alcoholic drinks is indeed lore friendly to medieval times and therefore the era Skyrim emulates. The fermentation process that produces alcohol also kills some nasty bacteria in the water this means that beer was in a medieval city with little sanitation in fact safer to drink and far more often drank than water.
  8. I take a middle ground, I voted Yes however because I think it best represents my position. I don't like to use skimpy mods or anime mods (I don't hate on them so don't hate on me) but I will use LOTR mods or ones that add Samurai swords or non-medieval weaponry (not guns but a Smallsword rather than exclusively medieval swords). I like to keep my game aesthetically similar so basically download any mod that doesn't add stuff that looks wholly out of place in vanilla Skyrim such as Monster Hunter swords or whatever. So yes in a way I download lore friendly mods but if it conflicts slightly with TES lore I don't hate on it.
  9. Most console commands are reverted back if you reload a save previous to that one without any problems. The exception are toggle commands like toggle god mode (tgm) which remains activated until deactivated (by re-entry into the console) which remain on in a gaming session e.g: until you quit Skyrim and restart again. Reverting console commands without reloading a previous save is most easily done by using the reversing command e.g: player.addspell xxxxx is removed by player.removespell xxxx. Also if you add an item or whatever to yourself or an NPC it is only valid in a save post addition and of the same character adding a new hat to Jarl Balgruuf will only change that save not the others. Some console commands also require re-entry every gaming session though I couldn't list them all.
  10. The best thing about these books is the appendix at the back if I'm ever struggling to think of a cool name for my next char I just look in the family tree things and can find a name to fit any type of character. Did you know that Bethesda were approached a few years back about making an RPG based on GRRM's universe but decided they'd rather concentrate on TES.
  11. Agreed^ this is not why modding rocks. Jaysus swords is why modding rocks.
  12. In my opinion Nexus would do well to change it's adult filter to adult and kinky and add another filter for completely different aesthetics (anime/humungous swords) although the second one is could cause some contention. I like anime in what I have watched of it (does studio Ghibli count as anime?) but I don't wish it to be in my game. That being said anyone touting their mods superiority or whatever is obviously to be ignored. As long as anime mods have the word anime in their title I'm fine after all I do find it slightly irritating to click on some armour mod hoping for something new or another mods and see something like anime. That being said I'd never curse someone for using it and it only wastes 10 seconds of my time but I can also understand why people see it as frustrating I can also understand the irritation of some mod consumers who feel that they would rather see modders but work into the kind of things beth trailed in Game Jam rather than anime - but they don't really have any right to feel that way :P
  13. You can use the console command setstage just look UESP for the quest code etc..
  14. Because 2011 is over so they can rate the entirety of 2011 it would be a bit stupid doing the 2012 awards in February when there has only been 2 months of game releases.
  15. I went Imperial but just killed those Thalmor.
  16. You have a bigger budget so no point in going this low but my Acer with integrated Intel HD Graphics run Skyrim on medium/high settings at around 35 - 45 fps with plenty of mods including some high res textures. It cost me about £350 so that's around $630. Which is pretty cheap.
  17. Yeh I watched in 1080p it wasn't like the quality was inherently bad it just bad this odd graininess like I said but as I said last time a very good video.
  18. The west and the USSR did not hate eachother as strongly pre col war and their unification was not really out of common hatred of the Nazi's it was far more down to Hitler's decision to invade the USSR while already at war with the west before this they were bound by a non-aggression treaty, anyway sorry to nitpick not really the issue here. As someone recently posted Ulfric is power hungry and I believe he is pretty racist - these are not the qualities of a leader who will create a strong Skyrim. Admittedly Skyrim is about 70-80% Nord in population but there are many other races present who will be totally alienated under Ulfric's control, Ulfric will also alienate Skyrim from the support of the other countries. The diplomatic skill of the Imperial empire (though quite lacking in their handling of the civil war) is what keeps the empire together without it wars are bound to erupt between the provinces. In my opinion the Thalmor will inevitably be defeated so the real question is what happens to a post dominion Tamriel if the Empire is left intact we can expect a period of peace driven by diplomacy and the free sharing of assets between the provinces. If a 'human alliance' defeats the Thalmor do you really think that is going to be the end of war? It seems most likely Hammerfell and Skyrim will fight for supremacy with Blackmarsh in a very strong position and Morrowind, High Rock, Elseweyr and Valenwood as slightly less powerful contenders. Without a united empire I see the end of a second great war beginning a much harsher war for control of Tamriel.
  19. The video is oddly grainy but its not too bad. I liked the mood and story though very good effort.
  20. This is icredible props to you I don't usually subcribe to youtube channels only those that produce great content and you're gonna get my subcription.
  21. I suppose lore friendly is perhaps a slight misnoma and perhaps I should tighten my criteria for the weaponry thanks for the feedback. What I'm really going for is non-ridiculous and in the case of armor non-skimpy but yes perhaps I should refine the list.
  22. About this post: I see many arguments on these forums about people hating on non-lore friendly modifications and those defending a users right to use whatever mods they like. I can see both sides of the argument and agree wholeheartedly that a user can do whatever they like with their game. However, I can also see people's irritation at having to sift through these 'sexy' or 'anime' mods when they're looking for an awesome lore friendly armor or weapon. I myself am not someone who likes to use non-lore friendly modifications and the thing I find irritating about those sort of mods is the annoyance of clicking 'Fantastic new Sword' for it to be a 20ft long monstrosity. I believe others on this forum share this irritation and would like an easier way to search for lore-friendly armors and weapons without a massive trawl. This will be an alphabetical list of lore friendly modifications for Skyrim following these criteria: - Modification must fit the aesthetic feel for the period that the fantasy world of Skyrim emulates but is not restricted by culture. This is a fairly liberal requirement a roman Gladius would be considered lore friendly as would a renaissance sword a lightsaber however would not. - The armor or weapon must be to some degree possible to use with near human strength. - Armor must provide some degree of protection. - Armor must cause little sexual arousal. - Weapons from other fantasy novels are allowed as long as they fit the other criteria. If people like this/find it useful and would like me to continue please give some feedback it's quite time consuming so I will only continue if it is appreciated. The Armor is going to be a much bigger job but also a more useful list in my opinion. Anyway Cheers and feedback please!
  23. I really like the longer top version (not up on the proper lingo - basically the one on the left) it looks really nice I've been a more knightly medieval armour for sometime but haven't really found on this looks great. Got an ETA ?
  24. ^ and the guy who was bullied by him for his entire life.
