Freezing Water

I'd like to see a mod that makes the water in the overworld maps harm the player and NPC's alike due to the freezing cold. A more advanced mod could even involve some sort of "dry out" function where you can get hypothermia if you don't dry yourself off by a fire or change out of whatever you wore when you fell in and let that stuff dry for a while, but this would all probably have to be part of one big realism mod that deals with fighting the cold if it goes too advanced like this.

If you have the original Crysis, check this mod out:

The Call of the Fireflies by ClemCorwin on moddb.com

I think the freezing effect from this where you have to warm yourself up to a heat source to warm yourself after contact with the water would be great. It involves the Crysis first person freeze effect and temporary full motion blur while warming up. It looks very good and if replicated with user produced textures/effects, it could be a very nice effect for Skyrim.

Also, those big mods you speak of are usually composed of these tiny modifications such as the one you have proposed...don't be afraid to mention these and thanks for posting.

Come to think of it now, Nothern Sergals would probably be at home in Skyrim sorta. Needs more grassy tundra.

...Yeah, but I don't know if I want to see that happen, given what happened with the second life ones. Plus, you know, I'm super all about keeping things lore friendly. Earlier today though, I was thinking about a total conversion thing, make Skyrim into the Tatola, but I just don't know. I can barely script a companion at the moment, I'd have a lot to learn and for that I have to wait for the new creation kit.

I know just who to get for the models though, if I were to pursue that sort of thing.
