Quest's not triggering.

I know, I know, I'm supposed to complete some of the main story quests in order for some other quests to work. Problem is, not even the main quest will trigger either. I go to Valentine's Detective Agency as instructed and all that happens is the secretary says "we aren't open for business" or something to that effect and no quest or dialogue will trigger. This happens at all hours, day/ night it doesn't matter. Paladin Danse is stuck outside ArcJet saying "well that wasn't pretty, but mission accomplished" but again talking to him will not trigger the quest or dialogue. Those are just some examples. I'd say 80-90% of my active quests absolutely will not trigger. Please help!

I don't know if this will help you, but I had a simlar situation where one of the main quests (where you track down Kellog) would not begin no matter what I did. I know this sounds weird, but this was what was causing it. I don't know what mod organizer you use, but I use NMM. I had downloaded a house mod (of all things) a few days prior. When going in checking to see what might cause a problem with quests, I noticed that this particular mod did not have a "download ID" number listed in NMM. So I deleted the mod, and reinstalled it. When I went in and looked at the mod in NMM, it now had an ID number. Went in to play the quest, and it started perfectly. So again, I don't know if this is a problem for you, but I thought I'd offer it since I was having similar issues.

I appreciate the reply and the advice. I do use NMM and I think I have a few settlement mods installed, I'll try fooling with them and see if that is the culprit. Thank you.
