  1. Never mind! I found it. It is part of Ethreon's mods. The particular mod that I was looking for is "Atom's Greatness". That is where the mausoleums are. Thanks!
  2. Hey All! I used to have a mod that included the white marble looking crypt building that you found in Wildwood Cemetery in Fallout 4. I'm building a settlement called "Spooky Town" and I thought these crypt buildings would make great little "houses" for my settlers there. But I can't remember which mod it was, and I've searched a ton of mods looking for it. Anyone know what mod has that building in it? Thanks in advance!
  3. Harutsune: It is definitely a mod issue and here is how I know it is. When I originally posted this problem here, I was playing with about 100 mods. It was nearly impossible to disconnect each one to see which was the culprit. It would have taken hours and hours and I was not about to go through that painstaking endeavor. So, I waited for the next time I started a new game, and deliberately did not load any mods until I got to that quest. Sure enough, the quest started perfectly. Once I finished it, I started loading my mods. The same thing happened with the quest where you have to follow Dogmeat to find Kellogg. It was bugged horribly. But when I played with no mods, it ran its course perfectly as well. So, what I do on a new play through is get to these points before adding mods. BTW, I had none of the mods that you listed while playing with mods, so I would say that none of them are the culprit. Hope this helps you.
  4. Sorry, I'm one of those "if it isn't broke don't fix it" kind of people. However, I'm always willing to try new things. But I just can't get over the feeling that it looks way too much like the layout over at Bethesda's mod pages. I've always hated their site, and actually don't go there because of it. I've been exclusively Nexus and have never downloaded a mod from Bethesda's site. Your old format was always cozy and compact, your new site is full of large pics, large boxes, and looks garish. The giant boxes take up so much space that it creates way more scrolling to see less. And speaking of "seeing". . .today is a perfect example. As you go to todays page for "New Mods Today", you scroll down and BAM a giant picture of giant boobs slaps you in the face with the mod "Zarya Character Preset". I'm not prudish, but I just find this offensive. Sorry, but I do. I always think that if I were a parent with younger kids, this would really piss me off if I walked in to see them looking at this. At least with the old page, all you got was a title. And yes, I understand that if you click on the title it would take you to these pics anyway, but with the new site you "see" it whether you intended to or not. Go on haters, have at it.
  5. Hey there! LOL Yeah, not the issue either. I have PCMatic and this game has been in the "approved" files from the beginning. Nothing has changed since this has been happening. The mystery continues. . .
  6. Yes, that was the first thing I did. But quite honestly, I think that task is a real waste of time. Never once has doing that ever solved a problem for me. One of its side-effects is that it clears all of your computer game settings for the game which is a pain in the ass to have to go back and reset. I actually timed the game start yesterday. It took 1:48 to start the game. Still, no reasonable explanation for it. The other weird thing is that once the game starts first time (the long start), when starting it later after quitting, it starts normally. Something is just not right, and nobody seems to know what the symptoms are caused by.
  7. Actually, you just brought up something that I hadn't thought of. I ran my clean up routine (PCMatic) prior to this problem. I ran a defrag that it suggested. That was before this problem cropped up. I think that my be the answer. Also, some weird message is coming up when I shut down the computer at night. But it is too quick to read before it goes away. Something about needing to shut down an "application" before turning off. Anyway, don't waste time on me and my issue. You've been great in responding and again, I appreciate you.
  8. Shara: Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you. Hardware is fine. I've realized now that the game is actually "not starting", but is actually taking a long time to start. I found this out because I left the room for awhile to wait and see what happened. Sure enough, when I came back 10 minutes later, the game had started. So it is horribly slow in starting. This has never happened before. I actually did do a verify with Steam, and all files verified fine. I've moved my saves to another file, but the game is still slow to load. However, sometimes it starts up as normal. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for it.
  9. Was playing Fallout 4 this morning with no problems (have 800 hours in this playthrough). Saved and exited as always to eat lunch. Came back, and now the game won't start. The "preparing to launch" comes up and the box to hit "play". When I hit play, the game acts normal as if it is loading, but nothing happens. Just a black screen with the twirling circular blue cursor. Can't clear the box from my screen and end up having to shut down the computer. Can someone help me with this? I have no idea where to even start. This has never happened before. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hey Red! Thanks for your reply! Actually, what you describe is not happening (though I've seen it happen like you describe). For example in Sanctuary, yes, I did disable the hedges. But I've never had the problem you describe there. That's the weird part. What is actually happening is when I am at Abernathy Farm or coming close to it, entire chucks of the whole world disappear. Looking ahead of me when it happens is like looking at the complete void. And ironically, I've not disabled anything at Abernathy. LOL And the other weird thing about it when it happens is that if I face one direction it happens, if I turn around and move in another direction it doesn't happen. So it seems to only affect one view. Weird huh? So, from what you have said, it looks like while I'm screwing around building at Abernathy, I will keep the TPC off. Once I leave the settlement, I'll just turn in back on.
  11. Subtle Shade: Thanks for the response. Looked at the technical and is WAY over my head. I also noticed that you listed a question using some .ini file info. I have not touched the .ini files. I simply used the console command "TPC" which turns off the pre-culling in the game (or for the actual settlement cell). I've read that you can use this in the settlement cell only, but you have to remember to turn it back on when you've left the cell. My main question is does turning off "pre-culling" with the console have an ill effect on the game. I've not noticed any, but that doesn't mean that it's not hurting my game somehow.
  12. Hey Everyone! I'm having issues with the scenery popping in an out as I run around Abernathy Farm. It is the only place in the game that this happens. After a lot of research, I found that if I use the TPC console command when I'm there, the popping stops. But my question is this: What effect will this have on my entire game world? Should I turn it back on when I leave Abernathy? Does leaving the pre-culling off really hurt anything? While I had it turned off, I went to a couple of other places and there didn't seem to be any adverse affects. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
  13. Just wanted to say thank you to whomever it was that fixed the NMM category drop down boxes when viewed on the newest version of Windows 10. Nicely done. It's really nice to have them back!
  14. With all due respect, I'm not so sure about the name "Vortex". I can see the jokes coming already: " I uploaded my mod and it disappeared in the "Vortex". "I had 75 mods downloaded, and now they are gone! What happened? A: They are lost in the "Vortex"." The mere definition of the word "Vortex" indicates chaos and destruction. A tornado is considered a "vortex".
  15. Forgive me if this is answered somewhere, but I did a search and could not find one. It was posted here a couple of weeks ago that since the Windows 10 upgrade, when using the Edge browser, you can not use any of the drop down menus on the (for example) Fallout 4 mods Nexus page. At the time of that posting, it was answered that Nexus was aware of the issue and was being worked on. I'm still having the issue and have to switch back and forth between Chrome and Edge in order to use those menus. Any update on the status of this issue? Thanks in advance!
  16. KunoMochi: Thanks so much for the info and the link. Sorry I posted this when it had already been addressed, but I did a search before posting and didn't find anything. Again, thanks for your response!
  17. I was on the Nexus site this morning and I wanted to look at my tracked mods. When I hit the files button, there is no longer a drop down menu (for tracking center, new recently, etc.) Is something wrong with the site? EDITED TO ADD: I just upgraded last night to the new Windows 10 Creator's Edition (forced). I use the Edge browser which worked on the Fallout 4 Nexus mods site just fine. But it seems now since the new rollout of the Windows edition, it is something connected to the changes made in Edge. Since I opened the Nexus mod site in Chrome and the drop downs work fine. But they still don't work in the new Windows Edge browser.
  18. Hey There! The ones I'm using are the ones that are supposed to be "oil lamps". They don't even require power. I also noticed that spotlights I'm using from the SOE pack eventually go wildly bright to the point that the "whiteness" bleeds out everything their radius touches. It's my understanding from searching the net that it is a vanilla bug that only affects certain settlements, and Sanctuary seems to be one of those. Really frustrating. This is the first "bug" I've researched that I've come up with now difinitive answer or fix for. I appreciate your response!
  19. I've been trying to find a solution to a weird lighting problem I'm having. I've searched the Internet and have found a lot of "lighting" issues, but nothing like mine. I'm building a brand new settlement in Sanctuary. I have placed street lamps (both oil and bulb). They work fine until I fast travel somewhere and come back. When I do this, all lamps are off. I have to go into workshop mode and select them to make them come back on. It is now happening with porch lights. All of them operate on "ambient" power, so the don't need to be hooked up to anything. I've search mods to see if it is a bug that has been fixed by a mod, but I'm not seeing anything that fixes this particular issue. Can someone give me an idea what this is? Much appreciated.
  20. In response to post #48286062. There are literally thousands and thousands of people, who for personal and political reasons, do not have Twitter or Facebook accounts. Your requirements for this give away are extremely narrow.
  21. I'm on my 4th playthrough. I've had all the DLCs installed from the minute they came out, so it is not a download issue. I've played the Vault-tec DLC twice now with no problems. Here's what is happening now. I've completed the main questline for Fallout. I am now wanting to start the Vault-tec DLC. When I enter Vault 88, it looks like I popped some drugs. You can see the "void" everywhere, and the walls are not there. Everything is all wavy. The game is still performing because you hear the voices, you see the actors, but you can't make out anything except random pieces of equipment. When I leave the vault, my game is normal. I've tried reloading the save, fast traveling, etc., but nothing works. Any ideas? I've got the same mods I've successfully played with before so I don't think it is a mod issue. Thanks in advance for your help. EDIT: FOUND PROBLEM I resolved the issue. I realized that the only change I made in mods was to update the "scrap everything" mod. The updated version with DLC support was the culprit. The mod authors are not sure why it is doing what it is doing and only seems to screw randomly with people's games. So dialing it back to a previous version or the "no dlc" version seems to fix this bizarre problem. Thought I would leave this up to help anyone who is having this issue.
  22. I'm sorry, but I'm one of "those people" that like NMM the way it is. It works perfectly and always has for me. It's easy, comfortable, uncomplicated and snug like a favorite blanket. Why you have to go and screw with it is beyond me. New is not always better.
  23. New mods have been scarce as of late except for the run of the mill boob and gun mods. Anybody working on anything exciting and new to be released soon? Anything coming that serious players should be excited about?
  24. Thank you very much for at least taking the time to confirm that I'm not the only one. It is absolutely game breaking for sure. The only way to finish the game is to console into the institue by using COC institute concourse. This of course starts the final aspects of the main quests, but screws all the previous quests related to it. But at least you get to go to the institute and finish the main quest. It is really a serious bug. I don't think it has anything to do with mods however. I have 46 active mods and they all have to do with house mods or decorating. I find it hard to believe that these type mods would affect this particular quest. Again, thank you for your reply. It's nice to know at least that I'm not alone.
  25. Hey Everyone! Happy Holidays to all. As the title states, the Molecular Level quest will not start. I've finished the "Hunter/Hunted" and have the courser's chip after killing the courser and the Hunter quest completed properly. But no matter what I do, the Molecular quest will not start. I read the wiki and under bugs it said that this was a possible bug and to fix it I needed to console: Startquest mq206 then console setstage mq206 10. Nothing happens. I also had the bug where the "getting a clue" quest was screwed up as well, but consoling it was able to complete it with no subsequent problems. Anyone have this issue? Any work-arounds that might work. The console commands have yielded nothing. Thanks in advance for your assistance. I so appreciate you smart people!
