How do I extract textures (yes I searched...)

So I want to play with making textures too. I searched the wiki and downloaded this BSACommander, but when I tried to load Skyrim - Textures.bsa, it would not load.

 

So how do I extract all the texture files so I can start modding them?

I managed it to extract them with FOMM (Fallout mod manager).

If you google FOMM the sourceforge link should work. I don't have Fallout 3, and if you don't you will have to cancel out of the wizard, but once it's installed it associates with the .bsa files.

So then just browse to your .bsa fils for skyrim and open them, they will pass to FOMM and extract.

I had tried to extract the textures with BSACommander too but I was getting an error. The same with Fallout Mod Manager. Finally I got it working with BSAopt, which was made exclusively for Skyrim.
