TheVersatile
After years i'm on level 257 and it makes no fun because nothing is a true challenge. All new mods i try, i had to edit before i play and set all npc's to full leveling. It would be easier if i could reduce my level without conflicts. Has somebody experince with decresing the level? If so, are there any problems during the game?
HalloweenWeed
Hmm. My wife used to play Skyrim about 50% of the time (her free time), for a couple of years, and one of her favorite and most exciting things to do was to make a new character (and develop him/her). I admit myself that there is often a great sense of freshness and eagerness to get developed when I start a new character. The planning is part of it too. The working out of the enchanted gear sets. The planning of the discovery of ingredient traits with the current set of ingredients. The gathering of said ingredients when your character isn't badass, avoiding some threats. The challenge of taking down a bear or even a sabre cat with a level 20some char. So I have to ask, why not make another character? Try one with different racial abilities (not the Bosmer, archery is just too easy even in vanilla Skyrim, you don't need archery buffs). Try one concentrating on magic. Try another concentrating on one-handed attacks (other than stealth-dagger), and shield bash. Try one concentrating on two-handed. Try one concentrating on thieves guild, dark brotherhood, daggers, and stealth (which is my current playthrough). Use some mods that you can't do with your veteran character, ones that need a new start. Perhaps even try a total conversion mod. Really, it's fun to play different characters with different mods. twiztedmongoloid
uhhhhhhhhhhhhh at level 257 yeah the game is gonna be easy. Start a new game. Rebuild your mod list for a new experience. A scaling mod like high level enemies makes it so after level 10 some enemies level with you. So when your level 40+ you dont just destroy everything. Which is usually how it goes even with gameplay mods. People always complain about being too "OP" but that is how RPG's have always been and should be. You start weak and finish as practically a god. At level 257 with maxed stats, tons of perks, and probably super strong gear and enchantments....yeah your gonna blow through anything and everything. TheVersatile
I want shortly mention my experience with decreasing by console. I set the level to 100 and reduced magicka, health and stamina correspondent, after 1 week playing i found no conflicts (on my system/configuration) and playing new mods without prior editing there npc is good and partly heavy. But i think i will start a complete new game with save-points for playing different forks at once, this should last for the next 1-2 years until TES6 will be released. And i'm a little bit curious too, how some mods will effect on the gameplay under different conditions.
