Didn't work for me...the result was less stuttering in some places and worse stuttering in others.

oh one other thing i did was set shadow distance to medium

yep. that's huge for FO4 performance.

Ok if you are running W10 and have an intel processor then you can check this video out. Not sure if this can be applied if you are using an AMD but I'm guessing no.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv0tYJ74_No

You will need to turn your volume up because when he did the video his mike was turned down pretty low.

The utility he used can be found at this link.

http://www.coderbag.com/Uploads/Unpark-CPU-App.zip

Now I went thru the process he showed and it seems to work fine. He uses the utility tool primarily to verify that cores are parked or unparked and he shows how to manually edit the registry using regedit. Now you can just use the utility if you want but he did say that he did have some issues just using it. He explains in the video so I'll leave it at that.

Again I did this with no issues. I rebooted and went back to verify that the changes stayed and did not get reset after the reboot. So again it appears to work ok. But again use it at your own risk since it is altering your registry a bit. Might want to back up your registry before doing this change if you don't want to take any chances.

Now to see if it actually helps at all. I occasionally do get some micro stutter from time to time to the point where I have to quit the game and restart to get rid of it.

Try the performance version. If that hurts your frames too much, go with the 1k version.
