hoofhearted4
so its obvious im doing something wrong, cause this happens almost every time....i extract the files to my desk top. and separate each folder...meshes with meshes, textures with textures and sounds with sounds....am i not supposed to do this? am i supposed to just leave it all in the Data folder? and not separate them? apixaez
Everything always goes into the Data folder... meshes/textures/sounds might not work properly even if you put them in now as they might use custom folders ... just delete everything and reinstall :) .. You could always use fomods as they're easier to install (use the package manager in FOMM)
hoofhearted4
unfortunately that didnt work. i uninstalled the mod that was giving me issues that i wanted to fix (the WME mod) and reinstalled it, didnt separate anything, and i still get the giant Red X when i put a 9mm silencer on my 9mm gun (which is apart of the mod)
apixaez
Did you use the package manager way or manual install? Because if memory served right WME uses a custom folder .. I think it should be Data\textures\WeaponModsExpanded\ and Data\meshes\WeaponModsExpanded Check to see if they're there :)
hoofhearted4
no. what is the package manager?...more, i mean how do i use it, i see a package manager in FOMM. thanks for your help! i wish i understood mods better and how to use them :P
apixaez
The package manager makes it easier to install mods .. basicly it install it for you .. if the paths are set correctly in the .rar or .zip file, you can use that to install a mod :)
