Using Display Cases in your homes?

Will they vanish if you wander off away from the house after a few in-game weeks? Also, will they vanish if you just leave them there for a few weeks lying on the bed or on the floor?

I just have this feeling that Order swords are more elegant as art than weapons, so i'd rather use it as decoration for my houses.

Oh, and if you empty (kill everyone) in a house and use that house's display cases for your items, will that make your items disappear after a few weeks?

If you enter the house does it reset the time, so the items won't dissapear? I mean, aslong as you keep coming back you should be fine right?

That's what Vag said. His elaboration clearly dictates that, which sucks... b/c i rly wanted to store all my items and go back to a house some week or month after doing some adventurous endeavors and visiting my other houses of Cyrodil.

Where could i find a mod so that the items won't be removed from the house(s) i own?

Another thing that sucks is that i saw this guy having all this stuff he found lying around in display cases and book cases and if one day he forgets about returning to the house, it gets reset, ouch that's gotta be a bunch of hours down the drain and the urge to shoot urself.

There's no mod that does it. It's just what the game does in order to keep functioning. It's really better than the game just suddenly crapping out on you when it hits its limit, stopping anything new from being loaded. The only plausible way would be to just store the things you want to keep inside actual containers. Containers which are set to not respawn (like those in player houses) will never get cleared.
