baldwita
I recently got everything that I needed to convert the ebony armor I bought into Daedric using the Atronach Forge. I put in the black soul gems, centurion dynamo cores, daedric hearts, and each of the four pieces of the armor set that I wanted to make, trying them one by one. It appeared to work perfectly, generating the daedric armor on the altar. However, when I picked up the armor pieces and went to equip them, I found that the Daedric Boots were missing. They had showed up on the altar, and I had picked them up, but they didn't show up in my inventory. Annoyed and thinking I missed something, I reloaded the save and tried it again. And again. I tried putting the ingredients for each piece of armor in the box individually, but no difference. I tried picking it up by holding 'E' and moving it off the altar before picking it up. I tried having a companion pick up the boots for me and checking his inventory. No luck. I have no way of getting Daedric armor in any other way for a while, so I don't know if this applies to Daedric Boots on the whole or just ones created by the altar. tl;dr Daedric Boots created using Atronach Forge never show up in my inventory. billyro
Perhaps these boots were accidentally put on unplayable, and if so there won't be a fix until the creation kit most likely.
baldwita
I did a little more testing with bizarre results. Picking up the boots adds their weight to my carried weight. However, when I make a follower NPC pick them up, he does not equip them, although it's much better than what he wears. Also, the boots do not show up in any category of items other than "Apparel." baldwita
Do you mean they're unplayable on my file or in the game as a whole? I can't seem to find any other instances of people having this glitch through Googling.
DeanamusPrime
I have the exact same problem. I summon the boots from the forge, and when I go to pick them up, they're not in the inventory at all. I've tried it on different pairs of boots, and still no luck. Even had my companion pick them up, to no avail. It is very frustrating
baldwita
Yes, I tried it with another pair of Ebony boots and the I still cannot pick up the Daedric boots either.
baldwita
Well, I give up. I just added them in the console commands.
xivel
there is a really simple solution to this problem. instead of trying to get the regular daedric boots put in the random daedric armor recipe save game pull trigger if you dont get what you want keep reloading until you get a pare of boots with an enchantment beats the hell out of regular bootsthe recipe for this is 1 daedric heart, 1 ebony ingot, 1 void salt and any soul gem
brianr9144
Easier than the hassle of repeated armor generation is using the console. The Daedric Boots that you make with the forge are bugged and tagged as Dremora Boots, which apparantly you aren't allowed to loot or equip. To change to Daedric Boots do: 1) Press ~ to get the console2) Type player.removeitem 00f1abd 1 <-takes the invisible boots out of inventory so you don't get penalized with the weight3) Type player.additem 0001396a 1 <-adds actual Daedric Boots4) Press ~ again to close console You should now see the boots in inventory. Note that both the item numbers above are called "Daedric Boots". when you add/remove them you'll get an inventory message in the top left of your screen.
