nick20404
I was under the impression that skyrim would be built on a new engine, but it seems like its the same engine they have been using although upgraded allot. Surprised there hasn't been allot of discussion about this since the game has been released since they said the game would be built on a brand new engine built in house and not gamebyro. :psyduck:

RejectedCamel
It's GameBryo with improved shadows and lighting, and then a ton of middleware thrown in.

bben46
It's just like an upgraded gambryo, but with the marketing hype added to make it "ALL NEW and IMPROVED!" - just like with your laundry detergent when they make a minor change in the formula to make it cheaper to manufacture. It works for the laundry detergent - and obviously works on geeks too. :whistling:
JimboUK
Todd Howard is another Peter Molyneux, I take statements from both with a shovelful of salt.
