Yay! I fixed the mouse acceleration in the menus!

For anyone who hasn't seen it over here yet: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=941054 a proper fix has been found for the mouse acceleration issue in 1.1, simply add these lines to the [controls] section of your fallout.ini:

fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0
fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0
fForegroundMouseBase=0
fForegroundMouseMult=0

Worked great!

your gonna owe me some great screen shots in game play.

I want to see the game as you see it.

For now, I have this taunting me:

Like wtf? lol. Everything appears to be working correctly except for the textures on the FWE alt travel motorcycle. I've tried re-downloading, re-installing, re-activating, in FOMM, manually, doesn't seem to matter what I do. This glitch won't go away. So far, it's only affecting immersion so it's not fatal. But I wish to get to the bottom of it.

But in the MEAN time, I have is these few screens from my journey out of the Vault and into Megaton. I like to remember that this is an 8-year-old game now and it still looks pretty good tweaked just right. Aside from when new areas are being loaded, I get a solid 60 fps even on the surface.

This is right out of the Vault I wanted to capture the sunrise a few moments earlier than this, but there is that in-game blur effect right when you first enter the surface. Had to wait for it to pass. LOD is looking good.

Aaaand...immediate overcast. At megaton, stopped to check out the distant textures again. Looks good. Fellout makes everything nice and clear.

Megaton. There are means up cranking the textures more, but do I need to, really? The game is working so well right now I don't want to change anything.

Megaton is lookin dark and gloomy, but sharp from the new textures.

All the animations for everyone, Type 3 bodies, textures and meshes are (so far) quite happy together. The game looks and feels like it's not modded at all. Well, until I go get Yoko's gear lol.

This adventure is just now beginning.

two paths I'll give you to verify you can find them in the same location of installed software.

  1. Vehicles\Explorer\MotorcycleDefault.dds <-------Ships with FWE along with normals
  2. meshes\vehicles\motorcycle01.nif <---------------Fallout's main bsa mesh archive and not included with FWE packages.

that's default, and not the choices of color. OPen the *.nif file in explorer and make sure nifscope path references are correct.

Normally archiveinvalidate toggled off and back on will fix this kind of thing.

but it can be something else causing it too.

do this:

I use mod organizer and run fomm from inside of it, but I allow all bsa archives to extract on install so there is no FWE bsa's here.

IF there is no bsa archives for a mod, then the game will load any loose files no matter what. A trick.

Grabbed a couple more: (I'll probably just keep sharing screenshots here tbh)

I was playing with DYNAVISION's depth of field feature and now have it just where'd I'd like it. Every once in a while there is minor visual glitches around the edges (probably AA related) but it's very hard to see when moving around and doesn't affect immersion.

I would be more than happy to share a save. I have a .rar here of 5 saves:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fh9j33o1tol205y/SpiLz%20Saves.rar?dl=0

One at each stage of the Vault 101 intro. From when you take for first steps as a baby, to when you step out of the Vault, and every chapter in between. Each time story jumps you through time, I saved. Obviously the first one is the most important, as the others are saved with decisions I've made. I'm playing as shojo race, but from what I understand, your character's race (and gender?) can be altered in the console window if you want to change it. You are free to with them as you wish.

I have exploring to do...and a motorcycle to fix, apparently...

I will share more screenshots (I love taking screenshots btw. I have my fraps screenshot button on my gamepad ready to go at any split second and I hit it religiously. I'm also a sketch artist IRL so I'm an abid photoshop user.) After all the effort that went into creating this setup, each of these screens is like a trophy to me.

Kinda wish I could change the title of this thread to something else. It's less about "help me with my load order" and more about a huge adventure of many emotions and lessons. I bet reading it is a task, but there is a lot of good information here.
