Purr4me
Oh man...a number of things. Doesn't look good. When I try to load my game, I get the message that the save relies on content that is no longer there. Why? I don't remember removing any mods...just those .ini files. Is that what it's talking about? Regardless of what I think, it's obvious SOMETHING went wrong. Because when I attempt to load the file anyway, this is what loads:Ok...So stick to the focus part, is the mouse now working as you want it too? Purr4me
I'll try removing the ENB altogether for now since it's not necessary and doesn't actually involve any ESM files. And because I don't know if I like that one lol. I'll start a whole new file and see where that leads. This involves INI files, so what ever you choose, make sure i have a link to that page so I can inspect the data and instructions , not every author instructs correctly ,settings in ini files are not arbitrary ,they must go in the correct spots or things get really nasty. ring any bells? ZpIIlz
Ok...So stick to the focus part, is the mouse now working as you want it too? Oh no I derped. I forgot to mention that the mouse cursor hadn't changed. There is still too much acceleration going on in the menus. This involves INI files, so what ever you choose, make sure i have a link to that page so I can inspect the data and instructions , not every author instructs correctly ,settings in ini files are not arbitrary ,they must go in the correct spots or things get really nasty. ring any bells? I'm currently using Blackout ENB for NV. The author claimed it wouldn't affect performance at all (which is hard to believe) and that it works well for FO3 as well. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48203/? Here's where I got the actual ENB. http://enbdev.com/download_mod_falloutnv.htm I went with v0.173 (For antialiasing) I don't have a 1080 display. The center main big screen of my three screens is only a 720 HD so my max resolution is a mere 1366x768. Therefore I rely on Anti-aliasing as often as I can because everything looks jagged on my crap LCD. The newer version of Blackout (0.194) is flagged with DO NOT USE WITH ANTI-ALIASING...so I avoided it. Since I'm using Project Beauty, I went with the Project Beauty Blackout preset. Except that now, I've tried all the presets that come with the ENB...and I don't know if Blackout is for me. Going to try Realism next. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18753/? Purr4me
decide what you want to use and stick with it. Bouncing all over the place does not help me help you. Cursor in menus is not in game acceleration, it's menus as I understand this? "menus only? " Menus speed is controlled by xml's and in game settings main menu as in the post I directed you to, though not Fo3 but i can post that image if need be?.------------------------------ok. hard ware issues are present, this makes a big difference. all 3 of them need to be compatible with each other. Windows issues prevail here. This is hard, you know that?
Purr4me
from what I just read, the required files are obsolete, and I am assuming (wrong thing to do) your substituting another in their place? _09* series is gone. one hell of a mashup you got going. "M48A5" please take this over, I have a headache now. Edited July 16, 2016 by Purr4me
M48A5
After reading through the posts, a couple of things have come to mind. Also, you did not state where the game is installed. If you installed the game to the default location (Program Files), you will have problems with any mod that makes changes to the base files. FOSE comes to mind. You state it is not working which leads me to believe you installed the game in the default location. There are instructions on Steam on how to move the game and the Steam folder to another location on your hard drive. I don't have Steam, so I can't help you with that. What Kitty means is to disable, not uninstall all your mods in your mod manager. I only use an older version of FOMM, so if you are using another mod manager, I can't help you. I also have never had any luck with an ENB, so I use DC Moods instead. You also need the Games for Windows Live client installed, but not active. You can disable it with your mod manager. After you re-created the .ini files, did you make the necessary edits to limit your CPU to two cores?
ZpIIlz
decide what you want to use and stick with it. Bouncing all over the place does not help me help you. I'm not sure where you got this from. The only thing I've done is disabled the ENB to get it out of the way. I have all the same mods I started with at the beginning of the post. Haven't changed anything. Cursor in menus is not in game acceleration, it's menus as I understand this? "menus only? " Menus speed is controlled by xml's and in game settings main menu as in the post I directed you to, though not Fo3 but i can post that image if need be?. Forget about the in-game mouse sensitivity setting. That is not the problem or the solution. The only thing that Fallout's sensitivity adjustment option does is change the global master sensitivity in-game. Menu or not. If I were to turn DOWN in-game mouse sensitivity, my cursor or gun would be too slow all the time except for when the mouse acceleration kicks in at higher movement speeds. If I were to turn UP the in-game mouse sensitivity, my cursor or gun would be impossible to control all the time. I need to simply get RID of FALLOUT'S mouse acceleration altogether. Whenever I modded Fallout in the past, I didn't have any crazy mouse acceleration. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Also, you did not state where the game is installed. I did not install it in the default location. All my games are installed in C:\Games. Fallout 3 is located in C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty\ What Kitty means is to disable, not uninstall all your mods in your mod manager. ZpIIlz
I know you just gave me crap for changing my mind...but i'm changing my mind. Get your sighs and scoffs out of the way because it's already happening. I'm going to give this one more go from absolute scratch. I have learned SO much in this thread that I wish to take that knowledge and begin again. I'm already re-downloading the game and I already have everything else downloaded (the mods and ENB), it should be done by morning. I'll keep this thread updated with my progress because it's extremely educational. I'm sure others will stumble upon this. In the mean time, I have new Doom and Metal Gear to play with my new GPU >:]
