Wolfpyre
I was thinking the sheat the girl in this photo was quite interesting, whenever the mod kit is released. Not quite sure how the second weapon will work though, since I'm pretty sure bethesda will fix the issue with the second weapon in the upcoming patch, but I thought it looked interesting and would love to have this made. Possibly even with a small animation when sheathing your weapons, and of course while running/sneaking/walking etc. http://www.gamerboobs.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/OnechanbaraBikiniSamuraiSquad_Aya-531x630.jpg I agree i like the two weps on the one side kinda reminds me of a samuri loose the hat and that neck thing turn the red to black as well as the leg strap and you got my vote on having the outfit made Edited November 20, 2011 by Wolfpyre
Silvist
Heyo everyone, This has basically already been covered in many oblivion mods. Not all weapons, specifically dual weapons could do this, but it was very easy to set up once you had a good reference point. What we need is a SOB conversion, aka shield on back conversion. This mod started off just having your weapon and shield on the back of the character. Later when modders got more interested in this, they made two weapons instead of just a shield and weapon. Really all it takes to do this is re-positioning the weapon sheathed in nifskope (the program I prefer) onto the back of the character. In case your wondering what I'm spewing out of my arse check these out: One of the earlier ones:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24541 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23207 Here's my own SOB I did with dread swords: http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/1622020-1298100845.jpg Either case, the biggest issue in how we position the offhand sword, or both, isn't where the weapon sits, but how its drawn lol. As of now the only hand that really looks like it draws the weapon is the main hand, the off hand looks like it is but not to the same extent (esp when the offhand sword appears out of nowhere lol). What I'm getting at is someone would have to make a good weapon drawing animation to go along with the off hand weapon. Honestly I'd love to see a good conversion of all of this, or even a superior one to these.
FavoredSoul
Except nobody mentions that offhand daggers are already visible. Will that affect any plans for such a mod? http://www.favoredsoul.com/images/TESV%202011-11-20%2018-58-17-88.jpg Edited November 20, 2011 by FavoredSoul
Terralventhe
..Wouldn't it rather mean that this fact actually enhances the likelihood of someone managing to make a mod out of it? Ironically enough, the layout is just like Rickky's picture, haha.
Sivos909
This is annoying when in third person. Frankly I don't think we are meant to spend too much time in third person because there are many things that simply don't look right when in third person. If you use the console to have a look at your character (for free camera type "tfc") you will see all the clipping that happens when weapons are drawn (it gets really worse with dual wielding). It's not game breaking but still... In any case having the off hand weapon show up would definitely be an improvement. Yeah I agree that might have been the intention, try playing the game in 3rd person for a bit if you haven't already. Much bigger improvement than Oblivion, lol. Dual wield fighting in 3rd is kind of cool to watch; shooting a bow is pretty interesting as well. Interesting enough, I've been playing most of the time in 3rd person. I don't notice those imperfections too much as stated by the OP, but the improvements requested would be really nice. Not trying to hi-jack your thread, but while we're talking about sheathed weapons. How about having favorite weapons sheathed as well (multiple weapons on the hero)? I don't know if this has been stated. IE: Bow in the back appears, 2-hander appears, and the 1-handers. (assuming you're going nuts to be a weapons master, but I've been using my bow 90 percent of the time with any far off enemies as a assassin/thief). Yeah, I thought about that idea too, I just wasn't thinking of it at the time I posted this, lol. That idea should take off for this game, I was hoping they would do that in FONV (different guns on back or side holsters of your choosing), but the most they did was a backpack where you could carry said weapons. It would be really nice to see a bow on the back and the two axes on the waist of my character, lol.
