The courier stood up. "I was ordered to deliver these letters to you." He gave letters to Aardorn, Dirmire and Nawen. He then stepped back a little, waiting to be dismissed.

Nawen opened the letter and started reading.

Aardorn read it "By the gods. Do my eyes decieve me? Please tell me this is wrong! Please tell me there be no such matter!" he said as he dropped it on the floor

Nawen kept reading letter. She read it about ten times in a row. She thought her eyes deceived her. And that nothing like this what's written in the letter is true. She could not believe that Selene is really dead. Few tears rolled down her cheeks as she started at the letter silently.

Aardorn looked at Nawen, then he stood up "I'm launching an official investigation, no one is to go in or out of that room without my authorisation, the body is not to be touched, I want the palace to be completely closed off to all the public" Aardorn marched toward Rufus, and told him of the situation, Rufus told Prescott, and the two would keep the area running. Aardorn set off for the imperial city

Nawen listened to what he said. She snapped out and followed Aardorn. There's no way in the Nine Hells that she'll stay here in Skyrim.

The courier left Aardorn's castle to look for a man named Edward and his fiancee and an Argonian man named Mar-Zek.

Selene's body lay cold as ice on the Altar, her eyes closed and her face emotionless, She was Dead. (well, not really) There was not a heartbeat, not a movement or breath, just Silence... and death. The fact that the Symbol of the dawn vanished was just another sign of her death. Edited by mythicdawnmaster

Aardorn entered the room where Selene lay, he looked at her, the wound was non-fatal, so how did she die? Poisen, he thought. He marched into the room where she had died, and saw the smashed vase. He found the servants body and found the evidence of the black sacrement "Poisen was used. And it was silent. Good knife, possibly planned. It all adds up to one thing .Assassination. The killer got clumsy, knocked the vase over. The manservent is dead in the servants quaters, and there is evidence of a black sacrement. I don't know where the manservant fits in. But this was the work of the brotherhood." Aardorn concluded, speaking mostly to himself, he raised his voice "Guards! I want you to find a man, he isn't in trouble... yet, but I need you to find a man named Shadow. He may know something. I want the body secured, no one goes near it."

"The Dark Brotherhood?" Nawen asked as she looked at Selene. She looked so serene. Nawen looked away.

"An assassin guild." Aardorn said "Shadow is a... shadowy figure, probably affiliated with them. When I find who did this, they will pay..." Aardorn fell silent
