browserice
I started to look into using MODs but with the latest FO4 patch having its own MOD list and seeing some comments in some Nexus's FO4 MODs saying the latest patch has either broke MODs or is now preventing them, I am now wondering if this is true and where to get MODs now. Is this new in game MOD selection menu really a concern about where I can get a stable working MOD ? Or is it more about picking Nexus FO4 MODs that have been created/updated before this patch or not ? If this patch really/potentially affecting any MODs from Nexus (or anywhere else), then how can I confirm that whatever MOD I am chosing is safe/compatible with this patch or whatever other patch coming ? How much of a concern it is for us MOD users ?
DarylLicht
Not a mod expert here, but have been using several for a while now and so far none of the updates/patches up thru 1.6.9 have broken any of them. None of the 27 that I have active in the current game use F4SE nor do any of them make big texture changes. This system is too under powered for any of that anyway. Just my experience so far, and I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will come along to explain what might break a mod and how to avoid or fix it. All my mods came from Nexus and I use NMM. Hope this helped.
Vormina
I have 238 mods installed, 209 active plugins, F4SE, countless texture mods, only use Nexus and NMM, haven't had any issues at all.
