so I had a issue with npc ai scipt randomly stopping https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4668255-npc-ai-script-randomly-stops/

I did everything suggested and btw thank you darstyler for the help I thought I had some kind of conflict so I changed populated town city reborn to the people of skyrim http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72449/? but after I ran the game my npc are still stopping, I disabled all the mod and tried activating one by one and it seems like if the amount of AI script exceeds a certain amount some ai would stop running (they would just stand there, walk in circle around one point or walk between two points)

the mods activated that caused the problem

these combination also caused the problem

can someone try any of the combination and see if they experience the same issue (it usually takes a while for the npc to stop and occurs faster in open cities or town like riverwood), if any npc stands idle in the middle of the street then there is a problem
thanks

Hello defuyun,

  • Dangerous mods list. Check your mods.
  • It seems you have many NPCs mods, if they use redundants or conflicting scripts... You may start a new game and try a selective loading without all those NPCs / open city mods and using LAL to choose where you will spawn and not to loose too much time. If once in a city where you had the bug before you don't have any trouble, try another city and so on. If no problem at all, one of these mod, (two in fact, because a conflict involves two mods minimum...) is the culprit.
  • If it seems you've found the problem and deactivated the culprit, you may try to use save script cleaner in order to remove orphan scripts. It's not 100% guaranted but hey.

That's all I see for now, hope this helps.

Try not to run a ton of script heavy mods. Post your entire mod list.

Does this happen on a new game? I had the boy in riverwood freeze on me once. He would talk to me but was otherwise completely frozen. Stood there 24 hours a day and also took no damage nor would i get a bounty for attacking him.

Skyrim has a string limit for scripts and just generally running too many at once can cause issues.

You also need to make sure everything is compatible.

Thanks for the reply, I checked the mod list and none of these mods are on the list, The way I tested the issue is by starting a clean game with no npc mods and activating them after ,I'm not sure how this will be different to starting a new game with LAL everytime. I checked the edits on test5edit andI don't think the mods are conflicting in anyway, in fact the people of skyrim is said to be compatible with immersive citzen but I still get the issue when I start the game

I have posted my entire mod list that's all I have active

The npc reacts when I attack them and I do get bounty but other than that they don't move. usually they are on their way doing something but then just stopped, for example Sven in riverwood was chopping wood and bringing it somewhere and then suddenly stopped in the middle of street and stood there forever

I think the mods are compatible since the author of tpos stated that immersive ai is compatible but I still get the issue
