Caffeinatrix
I have a gaming mouse with 11 program-able buttons on it, and I'm trying to find a way to utilize them (or at least some of them) on Skyrim. I think it would be excellent to be able to map the Ready, Activate, and other actions like that to the buttons on the mouse. Any tips on this? bcbuzz
while in-game: hit escape, then select controls. Just click on the action you want to change, then press the button you want to map. Alternatively: If the game doesn't recognize the extra mouse buttons, you will have to use your mouse software to program the mouse buttons. For example, set mouse button 3 to = "R"

Caffeinatrix
Okay, this isn't going as well as I had planned. This is a mouse that was originally geared for World of Warcraft (the steelseries WoW MMO Gaming Mouse), and it's supposed to work with other games, but the software only shows WoW actions when you try to map the buttons... Trying to look around to see if there are just keyboard shortcuts in the actions, but no luck so far :/
pikkatze
I have a similar problem. Granted, I don't have 11 buttons, just 2 and they don't work. It has something to do with Steam, because on my "try before you buy" version of Skyrim they worked just fine. I'm at a loss. Really annoying. I used all the mods for key assignment tweaking, I programmed the buttons to keystrokes - no luck.
maboru
Doesn't your mouse come with a software program that enables you create profiles for different games?
pikkatze
Doesn't your mouse come with a software program that enables you create profiles for different games? It does, I tried that, not working.
maboru
Have you tried setting the keys back to default and mapping the standard ones in your mouse software? Have you checked for a new update from your mouse manufacturer?
pikkatze
Have you tried setting the keys back to default and mapping the standard ones in your mouse software? Have you checked for a new update from your mouse manufacturer? Just did it, no luck. :( Is there anything in Steam that controls the mouse? Since, as I said before, everything works in "the other" version of the game.
