Exiting out of everything with TAB!!

There are few things worse in an RPG game than to utilizes one button to open an item, and an entirely different one to close or escape out or that item!

 

Why in the world did the Devs. in the PC version make it so the TAB button is the only button that can close anything?

I guess if your are playing with the WASD keyset it would not be so bad, but when you have been playing as long as I have with the arrow keys as the movement keys (since the days when Duke Nukem, Multi-Player went live ~ age 45 Now :P ),it become a very, very tediaouse act of constantly reaching across the keyboard and hitting the TAB key and more importantly, taking my hand off the controls and have to re-find my hand 'home postition' again.

 

Does anyone know a way to remap the exit button or the TAB button to another key?

I tried doing a strait key-map of M4 to the Tab key but that just makes me auto run.

 

Anyone, I should would love some help with this....

Can you not do this from the CONTROLS section ?

 

I myself keep trying to use the ESC key as I have that stuck in my VIM brain now , good thing I don't try to use :wq too :tongue:

I was sorely miffed about it too, especially since i play with movement- arrow and surrounding keys.

 

This takes care of it beautifully.

 

 

Choose one of the three text files and copy it to: Skyrim - Data - Interface - PC , or steam equivalent folder. Anyway, there is a readme, just dont copy all of the folders.

Make "Interface" and "PC" folders inside Skyrim - Data folder as needed, yourself.
