I downloaded FOMM, FOSE, and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated. AII is activated and FOMM has loaded all the mods I want. All of them are installed correctly.

The order of activated mods is:

Fallout3.esm

Project Beauty.esm

Street Lights.esm

EVE.esm

Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm

Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esm

clovernewlook.esp

DCStreet.esp

GNR Enhanced.esp

EVE.esp

StreetLights - Wasteland.esp

megalight.esp

Fellout-Full.esp

Xepha's Darkened Interiors.esp

Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp

Enhanced Weather - Sneak Bonus during Storms.esp

Enhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.esp

Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Main.esp

Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Night Eye Edition

Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Rain (NEE).esp

Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Dynamic Sneak Bonus.esp

Xepha's Dynamic Weather - Sandstorm.esp

Fallout Remastered.esp

Fallout Remastered - RIL.esp

Fallout Remastered - Fellout.esp

Fallout Remastered - EVE (PI Merge).esp

Fallout Remastered - DCStreet.esp

Fallout Remastered - Xepha's Darkened Interiors.esp

Fallout Remastered - Xepha's Dynamic Weather.esp

Fallout Remastered - Project Beauty.esp

waterfix.esp

I'm also running NMC's Texture Pack with Max Bumpmaps. My specs are:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

Radeon HD 4890

4G RAM

I launch FOSE through FOMM and after a few seconds, the game crashes.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

Radeon HD 4890

4G RAM

No way you can run NMC's texture pack with max bumpmaps with those computer specs. The max bumpmaps version is for the newest computers with dual or triple graphics cards and overclocked CPU's.

For your computer I'd recommend the "performance" or "Lite" pack.

My computer has dual graphics cards and an overclocked CPU, yet the best pack I can run (with about 190 mods) is the "Lite" pack.

Also, something no one mentioned, do you have a quad-core fix? If you don't, do this:

Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3

Find the line:

bUseThreadedAI=0

change it to:

bUseThreadedAI=1

Add another line after it and insert:

iNumHWThreads=2

This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought I installed RIL but apparently not. I also couldn't find the PI Merge for EVE, so could someone link me that?

Also, I HAVE ALL 5 DLCs. I just didn't check them because I've never actually tried the DLCs. Do I need to check them as well? I'm using the Steam GOTY Edition.

AH! Well you need to turn them on if you're going to use the compat patches and mods designed specifically for them. They will get turned on by Fallout Remastered, actually, since any mod which requires a specific file will cause Fallout to automatically load its masters.

Click my signature. In the top of the description there is a link to Paradox Ignition's Mergers page.

Also there is a new version of Fallout Remastered, you might want to pick that up as you swing by ;)

Get the EVE Paradox Ignition version and see if that fixes you all up (And turn on the DLCs while you're at it. It can only help)

I'm having more problems, actually.

See, I downloaded the NMC Uninstaller to get rid of the textures I installed since vanilla was crashing as well. I was in way over my head with the maxbumpmaps version. But the uninstaller has been at it for a while now, about 3 hours, and it still says "this may take a while". How long is it supposed to take? Can I just replace all the textures with the Performance pack instead?

Attached is my order of mods.

I replaced all the textures with the Performance Pack, and guess what? IT STILL f***ing CRASHES ON STARTUP. I also tried vanilla w/ just the NMC textures, that crashes as well.

I have no idea what to do, and I SERIOUSLY don't want to reinstall the game.

I would say that you don't need the EVE Master Fix compat patch because you don't have Master Fix..

But if it crashes with JUST Fallout3.esm selected you have bigger fish to fry, my friend.

Something is seriously wrong, and not just with Fallout 3. I fear that you may need to do something more drastic than reinstalling Fallout 3. It's just that the game is really sensitive to general problems with your computer, and is sort of like a canary in a coal mine. You'll notice problems with it far before you notice problems elsewhere.

The fact that a program outside of Fallout 3 was taking 3 hours to complete is very troublesome. And probably a bit out of my depth to fix in a forum setting.
