Billy1969
One word: Compression. PC can handle compressed textures while consoles cannot, so same mod will take a lot more space on consoles.
WhiskeyRiver2
One word: Compression. PC can handle compressed textures while consoles cannot, so same mod will take a lot more space on consoles.Actually, with some of the newer versions of the Creation Kit, it -is- possible to optimize textures for the XB1. Doing that with Modern Firearms cut the XB1 file size down from almost 900 MB to around 543 MB even though we actually added a good bit of content. The PC version is only -slightly- smaller at around 530 MB. If the XBoner version of a mod is still a shitload bigger than the PC version, it's because whoever uploaded it hasn't run it through the CK's optimization process that (from what I understand) compressed what can be compressed so the XBoner doesn't melt itself quite as fast.
