New way to power objects

I hate having to wire s#*! like elevators when it is all indoors. It would be cool if someone made a mod where you could power objects by making an inventory for them and dropping fusion cells, for example it could be 50 or 75 fusion cells per unit of power used.

Not sure about fusion cells. I'd rather have some sort of a fake "internal" wiring.

Electric sockets for example. you build them on walls, and each socket is considered "connected" to each other in the current settlement. That would mean, you have your generators connected to one socket, and then you build sockets next to the devices which need power and plug them in. With the rationale being that you actually built the cables inbetween into the walls and/or ground.

This is essentially what they've done with the new Vault-Tec DLC.. No wires or cables to transmit power needed, as the power gets transmitted through all joined walls. You only need to stick a power conduit onto a wall then for connecting to items.

Not sure if they are "retrofitting" all walls to behave this way or if it will only be "Vault" walls. If not, then maybe when the DLC drops someone wil be able to use the CK and figure out how they do it, and then make a mod so all walls behave the same.

Interesting. I doubt they would change the regular walls, though, but you're right, maybe modders will be abl to use the same code to make conductive walls. I especially hope for conductive concrete walls.

Hi there,

is there any mod out there, where I can use an object to transmit electrical power from the outside of a wooden wall to the inside? Im tired to pull string through open doors. Yeah, I know that lights already will work this plugs on the outside but machines still have to be connected via metal strings from machine to the generator.

Additional question:

Is there any mod out there, where I can build those 1000 electrical units power generators from the vaults in my settlements? I'm tired to build a second, third and meanwhile fourth 100 e.u. p. generator to power all the electrical gizmos at my settlements.

Thanks in advance.

1) yes: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20262/?

2) you can't? I built one of these 150 reactors in Sanctuary, and I'm pretty sure I had the option to build the 500 units one, too. Are vault objects limited to Vault88 by default?

You can also use Place In Red - Reborn or Place Everywhere to allow cables to go through walls without having to faff around. I use PIR - Reborn and it's been a God-send. Also with that, I'm fairly certain it also removes the length limit but to be fair, I haven't tested that as I typically use lots of "zero radius" conduits to channel electricity in specific ways.
