Skyviper086
This is the first time I actually got with a game while it was still very hot in mod development scene. But I'm wondering when the more complicated mods are going to come out. Mods like XRE mods, or Project Brazil type mods. Are they still working on the script extender? lelcat
Some of the things in the Creation Kit have no official documentation yet. I am in the large landscape + workshops + quests business myself, but I had to spend the last 6 weeks mostly on overcoming some technical issues. My prediction is that the first landscape + quests mods will come out within the next 6 months.

HeartBroken
Bethesda recently significantly damaged the modding scene; their incompetence set back complicated mods significantly at the least and likely killed some off altogether. Very likely there just won't be as many as Skyrim or other Bethesda games have had. I am angry at Bethesda for this.
JaYmZeE311074
Unless I'm mistaken - Skyrim currently sits around 50000 mods on this site - Fallout 4 has 12500. F4SE is still in it's infancy and the Creation Kit is barely a toddler - FO4 hasn't even started - we've seen nothing yet - a little patience and I'd put money on the fact we're gonna seen mods that surpass all thats gone before - the potential in the FO4 framework is immense - the game itself is still being patched regularly - once things settle down and modders have a full set of tools it's going to be awesome. I cannae wait!

There are some difficulties because there is no official documentation yet on some features. But it won't get in the way of creating great mods. It's about frustration tolerance. If you super-complicated mod idea does not work beause of too many technical problems, then work around it. Or simplify the idea.Modders blaming Bethesda is just deflecting blame from themselves. Because it is much easier to flip a table and shout at Bethesda than accepting one's lack of technical skill. The most dangerous thing for modders is their ambition exceeding their technical skill. That is why so many remake/total conversion mods fail. They start with big ideas then collapse because the idea guy realized he has to do most of the hard work himself and calling in 20 people to do the work for him does not work Unless I'm mistaken - Skyrim currently sits around 50000 mods on this site - Fallout 4 has 12500. JaYmZeE311074
Regardless of what he meant - it doesn't change what I said. I'd really hope the mod theft is dealt with and Bethesda get there finger out and act at least semi-pro. LELCAT - F4SE has limited functionality so you don't have anything like a full set of tools. The creation kits been out for how long? I mean how many mods do you see with complex animations? Oh hold on, we don't. Why you would claim that modders have a full set of tools I've no idea. We're only just seeing the release of fully scripted mods and the Creation Kit is getting better - Whilst I only use it for small simple mods - I wouldn't call that fully functional - it reminds me of the GECK without the power ups and 4GB patch! I've no doubt it'll all get there eventually - but full set of tools now - HARDLY - not even close.

Customa animations are always a very tricky thing to do. Have you tried importing animations into Arma3 or BF2? Or Half-Life 2? That stuff is not supposed to be easy.the Kit is fully functional, exporting animations is something extra that might or might not work.
