Fresh install, how to proceed

Hi. Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but i did do some searching, didnt quite find an answer.

I bought a new computer and i'm gonna do a fresh install of Oblivion, but then i discovered all these wonderful mods, and i just want to make sure i do it right.

My question is, what version is best for most mods? Should i install Shivering isles and the latest patch, or just nevermind it?

Also, what tools do i need before i start modding? I've got the CS, mod manager and Oblivion Script Extender v0013 so far.

The mods i want to use is stuff like Oonas Outfitter with exems stuff, Deadly Reflexes, Francescos leveled creatures and some minor stuff.

Thx for any comments.

Almost all of recent MODs require latest patch, and some MODs require SI(I suggest you to read description of MODs).

**If there's 'must have', it would be Unoffical Oblivion Patch.

Many older mods do not work as well once you actually enter SI, because they were written with specific world-space names in mind, although they may run just fine as long as you're in the original world spaces even if you have SI installed.

But virtually all mods either require or are compatible with the latest patch. Just make sure you read the SI installation guides in the forums here to create a clean version before adding mods.
