Through the wall fusebox or power connector

Wiring up settlements has always been a pain for me when it comes to powering the inside of a house. I've been using a wiring glitch to get a wire to run through walls but I'd like something a little better. My thought is that a through the wall fusebox or connector that could be placed on a wall so there's a connection point on either side. There is sort of what I'm after in the new conduits menu with a through the wall conduit, so I know it's possible. Not having a clue how to mod I hope someone will pick this up. Thanks!

Items do not allow 2 wire connection points. Bad engine design.

"Items' may not but power conductors can have dozens of wires sticking to them, so why not grab the mesh from the horizontal/wall one and duplicate it and stick them together back to back and allow them to "clip" through walls? This sort of thing (i.e. removing wall collision) has been done for many other items so why not power conductors?

If you have contraptions workshop it already has one.all you have to do is attach the wall pass through piece to a default connector piece

This implies that you "must" purchase and install the Contraptions DLC. However some people (like me) don't have a pot to pish in, so even 5 bucks for a DLC is out of the question. Plus, let's face it, the wall pass through conduit thingies are ugly, and the whole "conduit" system itself is badly done and half a$$ed.

Which even Bugthesda themselves have admitted unconsciously (or consciously) because they have now added "powered" walls and floors in their new Vault-Tec DLC.

Sorry, but that's a logical gate. It won't function the way you want the normal power connectors :)

Trust me, I'd quite annoyed by this restriction, as I had to work around it multiple times because beth is too lazy.

Can you please provide a picture of that power conductor that allows whatever you want? How's sticking two of them together going to change how the engine works?

I don't have a screenshot handy, ATM but all of my "Turret Towers" have only one Power Conductor in the middle with all six Laser/Rocket/Spotlight turrets connected to it, plus the main connection back to the power source. That's seven wires connected to one Power Conductor. I'm not sure why you can't have multiple wire connected to teh same conductor.

As for sticking them together, you'd have something like this --==((||--||))==-- As most walls in game are roughly the same thickness, you could make the gap between the base of each side approx the thickness of the wall, this would allow you to snap the conduit to the outside of the wall, and the power would "pass through" to the inside.

Of course 2 things could also be done to completely alleviate the problem = a) The "collision" could be removed entirely from power lines, so that could pass through any object (not very "lore friendly") or b) You could see how Beth is implementing "Powered Walls" in the Vault-Tec DLC and "retrofit" all walls to behave the same way.

If you have the contraptions dlc, why not just use the pass-through conduit they provided? It does exactly what you are looking for. I asked about the same thing before the dlc ever came out and it was already stated the engine didn't support an item (the wall) having two connection points on it. I was glad to see what they added in the dlc though. It wasn't what I had in mind but it does what I needed it to do. Plus, if you use the conduits right, you can hide a lot of your lines pretty easily. The only bad thing is they didn't make the conduit pieces with attachment points generate electricity like the vanilla pieces. You need to attach the conduit generator ends specifically for that and they are a little on the weak side.
